You can sell on this site. You just need to stick a price to it. But there might be people who can help you fix it too. Seems extreme to sell a game every time something goes wrong. Nobody would have any pins left. They always go wrong.

I think most of us have had problems with lights board in Woz, I replaced 3 big boards at a cost of £500
From what I understand now its not worth replacing any boards with the original design, but installing the new light kit from JJP which is a new design with no problems.
There was just a post a few days ago from another member with same problems, its very common and sadly an expensive fix.
This is the kit you will need, I expect Phil can get these in.

You will have much better chance of selling if you can do the repair

Hi Robert & thanks for the advice & info. I am only going by what JJP have said that it's not the boards it's a data problem, Loom/plug etc I am guessing. But I would not know where to even look or start hence the sale.

My first Woz had the 5v board and they failed, I repaired it and sold it to buy another which had the 7.5v boards and was only 16 months old, I had 3 big boards fail in that one.
Lots of info on here about it and other groups, but they all seem to fail at some point which is why lots of people just buy the upgrade kit now.

Seems very hit and miss with woz boards I have customer s who have got nib from new and never had a issue yet others have had several boards
If your rainbow part is not working I think that one is driven from the big board under the playfield

I did repair one just to see if it could be done, it was the driver IC which would fail, the small single boards are not too expensive, but those big ones are not cheap.

And I think thats 5v not 7.5

It's such a shame there are these faults in new machines. This is one of the better looking pins available imo.

Does anyone know 100% how to by-pass w10 rainbow board ? so that is the only board turned off etc baring in mind there is only a greem going in & no red coming out ?

If you head over to pinside to the woz owners thread, it is frequented by LTG who is a JJP employee. He’s forgotten more than I’ll ever know about woz. He always chimes in and gives help and advice.

Which is the first board that is not working ? find the ones which do work and look for the one which has the input coming from a working board, thats the first board to then disconnect and bypass.
You might have a few which are not working, but you need to find the first one, if thats failed it will not pass the data down the chain to the others.

WOZ 9 is the first that don't work. 18 works, then from 18 to Woz 9 is off and all to 27 inc' boards & up to Woz 10 rainbow are all off

Ok so remove the input from 9 and feed to the board after 9, so just miss out 9
Forget what the rest are doing, they will have no data up the chain from 9, so just bypass that first faulty board.

Found a better pic as could not see what was what on the other one.
So if W9 is out just plug the input side of 19 into the output side of 18.
If that is faulty then other boards will work, they will all be the wrong colours, but as Chris said you then turn W9 of in the menu
