On the verge?

DON' DO IT!

I might go for a long drive in the lakes.

Give the car a nice run.

..Then again going off the weather in Lancashire recently. Nothing can be planned.

Storm/rain/thunder 1 minute.. blue sky & sun out the next.

Spain is closer and might have more pinball machines.

Take the motorbike, ferry over night and just hit the road for a week. Just back from 2500 miles to Croatia and back, fantastic ride.

If weather ok do garden, visit mr replicas for some pin bits, continue to rebuild my sttng and firepower pins, sort work paperwork ahhhhhh so much to do so little time:(

Just finished rebuilding my STTNG this evening so will be playing that all weekend. Will take a few pics tomorrow and put them up.....she's come up lovely

Went up to the Lakes last weekend and all it did was rain.

On our way back home the sun deceided to come out, typical british weather.

Its a good job Pinball is a indoor hobby otherwise we would not get a lot of playing done in this country.

On with getting the Addams rebuilt and she is looking pretty sweet even though I say so myself.

Its a labour of love this one,

Every bolt, post, screw, washer and nut is getting hand polished before going back onto the new playfield. This is the fifth one I have done and its going to take way longer finish than the ones before. But this one is not going to be sold it will be staying with me as it will be the best I have ever done and a keeper.

Done loads of machines and sold loads but Addams is the only one I have missed.

Looking forward to the finished machine.

I aim to replace every-single screw etc.

Isn't polishing each screw, bolt etc a nightmare of a job?

Joys of sky plus.

OK, company end of year complete and accounts all present and correct. That was fun. :suspect:

Replicas, show us some pictures of this rebuild. How bad was your old playfield as I would be interested in one to play with and do a test rebuild on?

Now to start on the clear up and moving of things to rebuild the kitchen.....

Its takes time , but is a far better result than tumbled items.

Will take some later of where I am up to.

D.

Still trying to get to Portal..... sodding game! Only a completed disc multiball away from it last night. Tron just keeps me coming back for more, I guess I must be a sucker for punishment!

TAF pic's as promised.

[attachment=1187:taf refurb 001.jpg]

I bloody hate pop bumper lighting, with taf having 5 the top tip of the day is "Make sure you do this first as trying to staple the wires down when fully populated is near imposible"

[attachment=1190:taf refurb 005.jpg]

That looks beautiful, awesome work. That is going to be a TAF to be proud of in so many ways.

Good top about the pop bumpers, Cooldan and I had a nightmare doing his MB, trying to line up and push the staples back in with fingers.

I can keep cleaning and polishing my TAF but it doesn't take away from the fact that the playfield is way past it. I have ended up filling in some wood work with some nail varnish for now to at least let the ball roll better.

Why not just replace with brand new then?

..I'm a little lost. I'm sure you have a valid reason.

I'm inquisitive.

I take it either yourself or someone has professional restore the play field, or has the play field had minimal play?

The chair hole looks brand new & i've owned a large amount of TAF's in my time.

Its is a brand new IPB second run playfield.

Hard to find now and pretty expensive if you can find one.
