The Inter-Club Championship

What a fantastic day, I had such a brilliant time.

I have to say that you couldn't wish to meet a nicer bunch of people than the pinball community.

The format was brilliant fun so a massive thanks to @Matt Vince for organising.

Also we had a really great host in @steve brum who fed us a lovely chilli. Electric Circus is an excellent venue with a great range of machines from EM all the way through to the very latest Sterns. But it's not all about the machines, it's a fantastic venue with great people and to have the Midland & London crew all together was fabulous.

Everyone got on so well, we had such a laugh a Robin was hilarious (is he on here?).

The split flipper category was a particular favourite of mine.

Great day folks

Thank you.

Just wanted to add our thanks for a brilliant weekend.
Thanks to Steve and his band of helpers for hosting and the great food.
Thanks to Matt for organising.
Thanks to Chris for coming along and recording the event.
Congratulations to Roy on his win!
Well done to all the winners (especially Lucy Vince!).
Top Top weekend with lots of laughs. Pinball folk are really the nicest bunch of people.
Looking forward to more ICC away weekends and to hosting at Pinball Republic!

Di and Clive

Just putting this out there, could something like this be done at Pinfest between the different regional leagues, time permitting of course.

I did wonder the same thing Ian. The split flipper and 4 balls were so much fun. Trouble is that Wayne & Paul are probably snowed under anyway.

I was thinking the same but when would you fit it in?
If we could get 4 teams/clubs together (EC, PBR, SWL + Homeless Northerners??) we could quite easily fit 2 semis on the Saturday, followed by the final and 3rd/4th place on the Sunday. Make a whole weekend of 'just for fun' pinball with no WPPR pts anywhere to be seen.

Maybe something for further in the future, once we've had a few rounds of club vs club.

To do it properly definitely would be best as a one-off weekend as I can't see how we could fit it in at Pinfest unless there was the extra day like Phil suggested as a possibiity for future.

Would be more fun if we had four clubs - PR, EC, SWL and Pinball Office? all playing against each other eg one player each on a four player game etc along with some head to head games between two clubs but all clubs play against each other rather than having semis and a final. You could then have a final for the two top clubs after this qualifying/league phase.

Firstly, I like to (belatedly) thank everyone involved in organising and running the event last weekend at Electric Circus, including, but not limited to @Matt Vince for organising, @steve brum for hosting, @Gonzo for filming, and everyone who attended and made it truly a great weekend to remember.

I took a few photos of the ICC on the Saturday and have finally got round to sorting them from the camera and uploading to my FlickR account.

Both of these links should work:

There are 118 hi-res photos, and you're welcome to download any you want to your PC using the down arrow when displaying a photo.
I've included a few lower resolution ones below, and will post some on the PBR facebook page when I work out how!
I tried to get at least one photo of everyone, so apologies if I missed anyone.

Looking forward very much to the next one!

Fabulous photographs Conrad mate. Thank you. 👏

I seem to be giving Matt the evil stare on Swords of Fury - more worried about it breaking down to be fair!
