The "How much is this table worth" thread....

Think a nice W20 is nearer 2k myself with a few new bits, anything up to 4k+ if it has a new playfield, decals etc.

Think Wh20 was one of the latest machines to shoot up in price. Partly down to the fact the hardly ever come up. I'd stick it in the 1.7-2k camp depending on the condition.

If I were going to sell mine and that's a big if I would be wanting near 4k for mine.
Whitewater is the most expensive machine to do because of the price of the six ramps. Add in price of new playfield, plastics, mountains, targets, cabinet redecaling and all the trimmings it don't come cheap just for the parts, plus I sourced a unfaded original topper in mint condition with a new done to house it.
In my eyes it's worth every penny, Whitewater is a awesome game and a peachy minty example is highly prized and there's not many about that's had the full treatment.

I'm refurbishing my Whitewater at the moment and I feel your pain @replicas after buying everything you've listed besides the new playfield. Just the ramps alone were over £400!!
Debating buying a new cab from Manny at the moment which really will make it A1.
As you say there's no way I would sell it for less than 4k when it's done, not that it's ever leaving! :)

Do your cabinet up and redecal it and save yourself a pretty penny.
Worth doing as it makes such a big difference.

Cheers for the pointers chaps and I know nothing is beyond repair but this cab is seriously close! Any other options besides Manny?

Has anyone ever paid much more than 2k for a WH20, personally haven't seen many for sale above that price. Then again if it's so good maybe the mint ones are always keepers and never come up for sale!

Wrongly or rightly I paid around 2.4k for my WH20 at the end of last year. The disaster drop ramp was broken and the topper dome cracked but otherwise it was in really nice original condition with a great playfield, completely unfaded cabinet and topper. It also had a ColorDMD which I would of fitted myself anyway so added £300 on to my valuation. I really wanted one and has already been mentioned they don't come up very often. Given the price of parts to put a lesser example right I'm happy enough with what I paid. It's one of the best looking pinballs ever made and the gameplay is awesome, better than many other more highly priced tables IMO (AFM, MB I'm looking at you, in fact I find it easier to have an extended session on it than MM.) I highly doubt I'll ever sell it, in fact its probably my second favorite game after TZ.

Anyone have an opinion on the going rate for:

Batman Dark Knight
World Poker Tour
Ripleys Believe it or Not
Sopranos
Wheel of Fortune

Thanks

Approximate values dependant on condition and how much someone wants one at the time...

Batman Dark Knight - £3k
World Poker Tour - £1.5k
Ripleys Believe it or Not - £1.5k
Sopranos - £2k
Wheel of Fortune - £1k

Not much loving for WoF out there? Only played one at a show once and thought it was good fun.

Does it not have lasting appeal beyond a few games or something?

They always seem to struggle to sell on ebay. I think it's to do with the old skool flipper arrangement with the double lanes between the flippers. I've always enjoyed playing one.

Never seen one on there, certainly eBay UK. I really like the different layout for the flippers and outlanes, makes it unique and much subtle nugding :)

I had a WOF a few years back. A very underrated game.

A very good game to practice nudging skills on with the two centre lanes between the flippers.

A lot is made over the unfinished software, but in normal play you never notice that it is unfinished.

Bought and sold mine for around two grand. Don't think that there are many in the country. There used to be one in an arcade at Southwold on the Suffolk coast, but that has long gone.

Gottlieb Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Decent playfield, backglass and working....?

Pinpedia has got figures all over the place, high in US/OZ but not so much in Europe. Never seen one in UK before. Any ideas? Thanks.
