Are you going to try and strip the paint off or try and paint over it out of interest?Yeah, I consider myself very lucky indeed. Shop log incoming.

Strip right back, its a very thick gloss coat, so will be off 100%Are you going to try and strip the paint off or try and paint over it out of interest?
Reckon the original art under it is salvageable?Strip right back, its a very thick gloss coat, so will be off 100%
I doubt it, looks like there is plastic padding under the paint. Some perished wood underneath too. Playfield is badly worn in places, and a bit of rust in areas too. A couple of the plastics are cracked, but other than that it looks in great shape. A think new bulbs and rubbers and it will be functional, but lots of painting...good job I like paintingReckon the original art under it is salvageable?
I need stencilsLet me know if you need stencils
Thanks sir you are a gent, I'll see what I can salvageI can make them for £99 + delivery but would need (good quality) photos or scans of the genuine artwork. Don't need to be clean or perfect. Something that I can use as a base for drawing. Unless I can find something in decent quality online.
I would give it a go with hot air gun and check what's underneath.
You are the man, I'm banned from pinball expense until after Christmas.I've found some photos on imdb. Should be able to make cabinet/backbox stencils based on them if you provide me with the exact dimensions.
Let me know when you need them
Excellent pickup and welcome to the Zale Zipper Club, this machine is a younger sibling of my Rocket III so I'm quite familiar.Plenty to do, first stop triple thick the glass tomorrow morn. After that, finish the Expo, then paint strip to see what's underneath
Have you ever done them for Gigi? It is a simple design and I was gonna make my own but if someone already has done them great!I can make them for £99 + delivery but would need (good quality) photos or scans of the genuine artwork. Thankfully not, it's safe. Although yes it does need a good wipe over, otherwise pretty nice.I imagine DH had a bid but seller was messaged with a cash price he couldn't refuse. Expect to see a wiped over one on eBay for £4995 or something equally daft
Hope you managed to get the boot shutThankfully not, it's safe. Although yes it does need a good wipe over, otherwise pretty nice.
VUK broken and a metal plate zip tied over the entrance to stops balls entering. Slight batt leakage but on the WPC-S standoff board.
Legs, bolts, backplates are trashed and slight white powdery mould on rear but no sign of prolonged damp.
All in all a good buy, nice bloke and at the right price.
