So this one have debated and reluctantly decided to trade or sell. Reluctant as it took me about 6 years to source it and I know when it goes I wont be able to find another one. But I don’t play it anymore, just look at it, so its time for something new or store it.
It’s a TAFG , number 333, original and has been tastefully restored to be like new.
I have had it a few years and it came to me in near this condition, I don’t really know the history so my observations when I got it.
Has original board set and all matching serials, all clean and tidy so have been serviced as all looks great
The playfield is original but has been clearcoated in the past as you can see in picture it has some grey usage marks in shooter lane etc but these have been clearcoated over , so preserved as is. Someone has gone to a lot of trouble of restoring it and keeping original and preserved. Its shines like new….
Its had all new coils fitted, targets , new flipper rebuilds , New complete plastic set , new ramps, new tasteful rubbers colour coordinated with playfield etc so a full restore and no expense spared as its virtually new machine.
Has LEDS fitted again all tastefully done and really pops
Has gold mirror blades fitted which really make the playfield standout
Has Invisiglass fitted so it looks really good with the LEDS and All new parts
The cab is original so has a few minor marks and scuffs it’s a solid 9/10. Again, kept it as original
Has Brand New Gold legs with Gold Bolts , Gold feet etc
Being a TAFG it comes with the authentic TAFG stuff so has a signed and framed certificate of authenticity and the original Gold manual, and they are not repos. Plus schematics and normal Addams Manuals original score cards, all great condition in original brown bags…I know the manual itself goes for a pretty penny as cant get anymore.
In my stewardship I got it playing like a dream, and its been regularly cleaned and waxed. Its had some icing on the cake type work done as anyone who knows me and my machines, they have to be perfect to play.
Added a Pin2DMD so its in colour which makes difference and at great expense it had the lockdown bar and side rails re gold plated as they were beginning to tarnish, and that OCD for being perfect kicked in, so again looks like new.
So it’s a perfect restored TAFG.
So onto price, Well it wasn’t cheap when I got it , I had to spend 5 figures to get it , then with the work doing including eye watering gold plating I am asking £12500. As anyone who knows me , this is a hobby, not a moneymaking opportunity and I would like it to go to someone who will play it and enjoy it , not flip it… I actually think in this condition its worth a lot more but lets see what the market decides.
Please can we not have a big discussion on price, having seem some TAF come on here earlier in the year for 9K, 10K+ etc and asking price be blasted all I am going to say, this is at the top end perfect restored condition and it’s a TAFG and I don’t know when I ever saw one on here..
I am not desperate to sell, more fancy a change, so will see what happens. My fallback option is to wrap it and store as I see it as a working piece of nostalgic mechanical art that will only go up in value so maybe wiser to keep it….
But doing that would be a shame as it should be played and like me when I went searching for it, it should go to someone who wants a Addams as a holy grail machine. ……Maybe you have a standard Addams already, so sell it and upgrade…
If it sells will be looking for a Iron Maiden , James Bond or Jaws so if anyone has one of them to part trade would be interested. Only Premiums or LE’s though as don’t do Pros….
So will let the Pictures do the talking…. Its in a line so had to work around other machines to get them. Can of course take more but its better actually seen as the gold really pops….
