But it did sell… to Mr outrun. The Facebook listing is in London and mr outrun is in Goole, Yorkshire.
Touche. Yeah that's pretty rough.

Wouldn't pay more than 6 for that playfield so let's hope he got a good deal on the 6500. Sad too because I tend to deal with players machines. They need love and care and restoring not flipping.

And the bookcase looks in a bad way in both cases; missing the plastic(s) and nowhere near level. Maybe that's the source of the error dot, which I haven't actually seen. Addams wasn't prone to a false-alarm dot.
Might have been on the original sale photos and not shown here, unless it's been fixed by seller.

Lol some people 🤣 still looking in shop windows with empty pockets 😂
Is it, or is it not the Addams Family from FB last week? That be the question. Whether it be nobler in the mind to suffer a credit dot or the prospect of outrageous fortune 🤔

Lots of us look at pinball machines we have no intention, or even interest, in buying. Some of us are just price/market geeks. I mean, I'm reading this thread and I'm not even interested in owning an Addams Family.
I, personally, just turned up for the '£7600 Addams when another Addams is for sale on the site right now for £10k+', and stayed for the 'is this an outrageous attempt to flip?' drama:popcorn:

I'd say the question is, if you actually owned a taf how much would you be selling it for !

As a price geek, I think £7.6k for an average/decent TAF is spot-on in today's market. A few months ago, I'd have said £8-£9k, but the market is slow right now. There have been Twilight Zones going for <£6k recently. I personally much prefer TZ to TAF, and the newbie/nostalgia premium isn't that high.

If it was a mint restore, or a TAFG, then £10.5k would be reasonable. TAF's a popular title that commands a price premium. The one on for £10.5k, however, is neither of those things.

Some of the people on here think this TAF is ropey. I'm not a TAF expert, but - if they're right - then you'd be expecting £6-6.5k to give room for buying parts and repairs. If the playfield is dodgy, it's a killer because it's £700 for a new playfield and then you've got to either pay someone to swap it (or swap all the parts across yourself, which isn't an easy job).

I've never seen a TAF go for less than £6k, but I can definitely see a complete wreck (broken cab, completely planked playfield with a mess from the magnet, completely broken parts, rusting, filthy, had been stored in a barn) commanding that sort of price. This doesn't seem to be that - so don't go below £6k.

Culturally, however, it's not regarded as good practice to insta-flip for a profit so - even if you'd got the TAF for £4k on Facebook - you wouldn't be expected to immediately flip at £6k without spending some time playing the thing (while bragging about your good fortune).

Personally, I'd recommend repairing anything that needs repairing, such as the bookcase (?) and the credit dot (?). Buy it a £200 topper. Make sure it's in solid, playable condition and, then, ask more for it, depending on the condition of the playfield. Then, you've added genuine value to this TAF and no one on here is going to get emotional about what you paid, because people restore/repair pins all the time.

Alternatively, you could ignore any possible faults, post it on eBay for £7k starting price and hope to sucker a newbie, but - obviously - no one on here is going to want you to darken their (virtual) door again, because pinball is a small community and attempting to scam nostalgic TAF lovers for £1-2k isn't a decent thing to do.
