Afternoon all, got a quick couple of questions. Recently got my flintstones that had a few dead bulbs, ive gone through and replaced most with comets and all but 1 works great. its one of the twist style bulb holders on the board it just doesnt seem to make a great connection to the traces around the edge of the hole, can i simply reflow/add a bit of solder around it to tidy it up and make a better connection? as struggling to find the boards anywhere other than australia with a min order of £250. Secondly i want to add some leds in the buildings and bronto head since somebody has already removed the windows and added led strips inside but then removed them from the bulb holder legs they were attatched to. I want to add this as 12v adressables so looking to tap into 12v somewhere to take away any strain. Looking around it looks like J117 may be the best bet and seen a few different sites selling connectors already but for what it is id probably rather make my own, has anyone done this or have a few they made they dont need and would be willing to sell? if not is there an easier line i can take 12v from? ive attatched a pic of the power tap connectors ive seen online.
