TAF -Addams Best Upgrade / MODs

Hi Everyone,

Been a while since I’ve been on here.

I own a TAF which is totally stock apart from LEDs

I have been at my brothers over the Easter weekend and his Ghostbuster has made me envious of the newer glitzy machines… Doesn’t look like an easy trade for GB to TAF

So I think I should probably invest in some nice upgrades to boost it into 2022!

What would be worth while upgrades in your opinions?

I’m thinking a

Colour DMD (I’m on a wait list for Stumblors HD pin2dmd)

PinSound ?

Should I get full kit from pinsound? Speakers, shakers, etc?

Is the shaker good for TAF?

Any other suggestions welcome.

Not pinsound I don’t think but if you have fitted LED’s for inserts and GI then you should get LED/GI OCD boards so they behave similar to incandescents instead of instant on/off effect. Afterglow boards do the same thing that Stumblor on here has from time to time which is my preference.

I have forgotten how much I have added to mine.

The colour DMD does add some colour.
I added some home made LED lights to the scoops to make the glow.
Some home made LED’s also illuminate the BookCase.
A train with lights on the ramps, again home made by someone in the community.

I have blue LED lights underneath. The same LED string lights in the cloud.

There are a lot of mods with lights out there but most look a bit pants up close.

There are also mirror blades or side blades with pictures that can look good.
Decals for the BookCase blue turn table.

As a popular game, I think there is loads out there but what do you want from the mods?
If more modern lights then maybe Pinstadium but I haven’t any experience of them in my games.

Install a CLEAR main ramp - really brightens things up. Those ‘Smokey’ ones on TAF and TZ are horrible , not sure why they ever thought they were a good idea ? They just look dark and dingy .
