Sorry @Moonraker double booked myself for that weekend so no longer able to make this event see you at the uk,open
 
Bobby Orr and Haggis Fathom are no longer in the line up but a new Alien ERV is added.
 
Not sure if I'll be attending today now - have had my train cancelled last minute and next one is another hour away. Will see what happens...

EDIT: Managed to snag a lift so should be there on time now hopefully

Awesome that SWL has been going for 15 years and proud to have been there from the start, helping to paint the walls of the first unit along with Nick Hill and lending 6 machines.

As Kev said, long may it continue.

Happy birthday Peter for yesterday and thanks to you and Hilary for another great weekend of pinball and great people.
 
Just echoing what has been said already, my first time at SWL and a great mix of games there. Happy birthday to Peter and good to meet many fellow pinheads for the first time. I was really glad there were a bunch of classics to play as I haven't had a chance to before. Personal favourites were Spirit, Genesis and Xenon. I even started doing tap passing for the first time, you don't always get it right but it's another string added to my bow. Always thought I was a just a modern Stern fan but not anymore. So a big thank you to Peter and Hillary for putting on the two days. Can't wait for the next one in early December.
 
Thanks again to Peter and Hilary for another wonderful weekend of pinball and 15 years of SWL. Congratulations to Luke and Thomas for their wins. Was very happy with 4th on the first day, trophy just about fit in my bag! Been very happy with the progress I've been making though I'm still guilty of some inconsistencies and silly errors (Still can't believe I tilted through on pink panther...)

Here's to many more great pinball gatherings at SWL!!
 
From the perspective of visitors we are still feeling the warm fuzzies from this weekend. At least one visit to Salisbury each year has been a must for Helen and I for several years; the city itself is a great place to stay and we always receive a friendly welcome from all of the people that we have come to know at SWL. The competitions are enjoyable in themselves due to the quality of play.

As the first person to have the vision to set up a pinball club Peter's success has inspired others to take the template and follow suit with other pinball venues in the UK . Nevertheless the hospitality that we receive from Peter and Hilary is quite unique and greatly appreciated.
