Streaming rig help

Agree @Gonzo - I didn't really enjoy faffing with the Spike 2 CPU either. Again, a bit different for @Neil McRae who owns his games and once in, they generally stay where they are. If you are moving games in and out, this made me nervous the thought of keep doing it. Just personal opinion though and preference. I was willing to lose the 20% video shine for the hassle of doing it. For you as you say, may well be worth it, plus your setup has a lot more space around the games than I did. I was moving my streaming rig a lot when I had 4 games in and Billy and I were weekly streaming.

To be honest it's bordering on the ridiculous now anyway, I have 5 cameras and 4 lights on tripods around the pin . . . . It's like an aluminium Fangorn Forest in the man-cave 😂

Ideally I'd like to settle on a solution before I do Stranger Things and Elvira though.

Andy: You're welcome to give me a call regarding cameras mate. I know bugger all about Twitch but plenty about hardware. I had sponsorship from Elgato last year so probably have some kit lying around if it helps?

I was and am still down for one of your SPIKE 2 kits @Pick Holder - does it mean you won't be making them now??

I may go for a lapel style mic or headset mic like IE pinball, that seems to cut out the game noise. Tricky to get right.
I just checked. I messaged Neil about this a few days ago and thought I messaged you as well.
The price of the pin sound one doesn’t make it a product I am going to sink silly money into at the moment. I got quotes from China for a slightly better design (transformer built into a small pcb and rca output jacks) but it would of meant putting £100s into something I had two enquires about.
Lapel mic won’t be suitable. Has a very wide pickup and you have to crank up the input gain. This will cause everything to come thru.
You need to close mic really.
Another option is a normal microphone on a boom mic stand. But make sure you get a directional mic and not omnidirectional.
