Hey all,

Putting out a similar call to Alpha1, looking for a Stern Pro for Christmas. It's a big birthday for me and the family are celebrating, curious to see if I can make something work for Christmas.

I could push slightly higher for newer machine (Venom, Foo Fighters, etc.).

(From Mufcmufc, happy to discuss in and around the following prices:
Deadpool ~£5.5k
Rush ~£5k
Venom ~£6.2k
Foo fighers ~£6.2k
Star Wars ~£5k
Black Knight ~£4.8k
Turtles ~£5k)

Adding GotG ~5k to the list

Absolutely Love this game but curious if I’m missing out on the premium features . Happy for this ad to be a slow burner . offering it for sale for what I paid last month. If it sells cool I’ll put it towards a Godzilla Premium. If someone wants to trade for Godzilla Premium plus cash dm me. If no interest I’ll keep

I had considered it but a bit on the higher end for me for a Godzilla at the moment, also played it on location but couldn't get on with it but I know that's heresy :D
 
Aerosmith and Munsters Pro seem to come up sub 5k. Between 5 and 6 should get most of the other older pros. Apart from deadpool which constantly bucks the trend.
 
I would snatch someone's hand off for a Deadpool Pro at 5k. There have been a number of Sterns I've been kicking myself recently for missing:
BKSoR Prem
Many GoTGs around the £5k mark
I think there was a turtles that started at 4k a few months back, etc etc.
 
BK SOR has gone a bit zero to hero
A few SW PRO sold under 5k including the HUO one l bought in 2021 but they don't seem to come up for sale
Turtles maybe a good bet . It's popular with the public but seems a game folks don't get on with at home .
 
SW Pro would be lovely, turtles I know still gets a bit of a bad wrap and there was one I missed about 6 months ago at ~4k mark too, I wouldn't say no if that came back around at that price point.

Hah, you are right it seems like good pins sit here for months at the £5500+ range, the moment they drop below £5k they sit for hours, not days or weeks.
 
Rush is a great pin- doesn’t get much love so maybe sub £5k if we’re saying Aerosmith and Munsters are the cheapest Spike 2s
 
If someone has a rush for sub 5k I'd be happy, I'm a big rush fan even if the rest of the family isn't a fan of the music... Although trying to explain the rules over drinks may be a struggle!
 
Why don’t you lot stop moaning about the price and just go turn a machine on and play it … talk about depressing

If this is what pinball has become a massive debate about prices then forget it… get a new hobby

Sorry to rant on your post but between this and the moans about price thread it starts to wear thin … pinball is meant to be fun and not a constant debate about falling prices!

Rant over good luck with your search sure something will crop up

Tbf though buying / selling / trading games is a huge part of the hobby for many so not really surprising that when the market lurches markedly one way or the other that there is increased discussion.
 
I'm personally happy to be involved in all conversations around pinball, including the economics, I joined the hobby within the last 12 months and this will be my first machine so want to make sure it's a good one that the family will enjoy and hopefully welcome the enevitable future machines!

That being said, feels like priorities for this one are:

Deadpool
Rush
Venom (can go higher than budget)
Foo fighters (can go higher than budget)
Star Wars
Black Knight
Turtles

Probably forgetting some but send it through even if it's not on the list and I'll respond
 
You don't get if you don't ask but I would say 4k is way too low unless it's a heavily routed undesirable game. Aerosmith dropped to around £4k not long after it came out but then became sought after. Realistic prices for what you're looking at:

Deadpool £5.5k minimum
Rush circa £5kish (but myself and many others would buy at this price)
Venom £6.2k minimum
Foo fighters £6.2k minimum (but would sell in a flash)
Star Wars £5k minimum
Black Knight £4800 minimum
Turtles £5k minimum (but myself and many others would buy at this price)

So you do have some reasonable chances of getting what you want but almost every single one will be over your budget

That's perfect, thanks for this.

I've adjusted the main post with these guideline prices as I'd be happy to pay this or around the price for these titles.
 
If there are 2 venom fans left in the world, it'll be us Alpha.

It's still the game I've played the most on location, even the pro version, but I will admit I can see it getting old quick at home.
 
Dont think I have seen a TMNT stern go for £5K - have got more for ex-site ones not long ago....

I have one listed at £6250 on her with extremely low plays - it is really better than new due to the extras? May drop it to 6K but never 5K.
