Stack's White Water Adventure

When I got my WH20 it had some interesting boulder repairs also - foam filler anyone ?

And the flash lamp cover had been replaced by some sort of bottle top, carefully taped into position so you would hardly notice !

Nice and subtle! That's the way to do it.

The reason why WH20 have that spring on is,--------- Check out when energized what happens to the part that should hold the usual smaller spring. Yes it hits the inside of one of the lane guides thus it needs to be bent back to stop this happening thus they used the older way. You can still use a smaller spring but it won't be as taught because its been bent back some.

I only found this out when I did a flipper rebuild.

also the new link is the wrong type, if you are using the compression spring. look at the old one, it is tapered. with the one you are using it will bind after a period of time.

apart from the coil wrong way round, the wrong link, and perhaps a missing spring, that was a pretty good hour well spent doing rebuild dude

Not the wrong spring! It is the correct spring. And I'm not sure how the coil can be around the wrong way unless it was already wrong before I took it off! I will concede on the link though.

now your just being silly.

the coil is mounted so that the wires are not near the coil stop, it can make them break because of vibration. it could be a factory screw up.

alot of new Sterns needs the flipper gap adjusting, between bush and bat. it makes them weak after prolonged use.

I just looked at a couple of other machines and can see what you mean! I wonder if it was put in like that at the factory or if it got cocked up afterwards.

Well spotted though!
