Spooky Pinball - Evil Dead

At least it’s not two themes from one playfield layout. As a collector that doesn’t do it for me.

So far it looks promising. They need to look at TWD code and work a theme using similar ruleset..

Stern will be doing a remaster of TWD if the reaction and sales (stateside) of Metallica are anything to go by.

Let’s leave Spooky to do their own thing.

Only see the original ED and the latest one but will go back and watch the others.

Now that's what you call theme integration!!

My honest thoughts so far. Call-outs seem a bit lackluster. Under playfield seems a missed opportunity. Could they not do something like Creech where it looks like a hand or something inside the cabinet. The hand comes at you or gives
you the finger!

Look at all the things they’ve got right though! Far out weighs anything you might not like. Call outs will be great - original movie quotes & newly recorded stuff. I can’t find one negative thing about this…. other than if it’s a wide body 🤬

They have got plenty right. Topper is a great touch, not as good as Alice or Labyrinth in my view.

Looks great, more mechs than 99 percent of recent releases, tape is a nice touch too and the shooter/broomstick loader. How does it shoot is the question I thought haloween looked good too

Actually the lower playfield could have had the bash toy hand pop up. I’d remove the trap doors next to the ramps, those pop-ups are not liked on GB. I found them to be a pain and often got air-balls off them..

Can't fault the price for all you get, though doesn't include the topper this time.

*Just watched the featurette, it does come with a flat plastic topper, with the sculpted topper as an option.

Toys look awesome. Don't want to be negative, I was ready to jump in but layout.....not blowing me away. Lower playfield? lower playfields have a bad reputation, this one does nothing to change peoples minds, just 2 standups? seriously? why bother?
“Theme integration” you can’t have Evil Dead without a lower playfield “basement”, according to a certain podcaster who has been at the Spooky Factory, Spooky did it for the theme integration but didn’t want to blow a tonne of the budget on it.

Not even the same mech!

These are physical moulded pop up targets just like the troll mechs which worked in MM for over 3 decades.

GB had flimsy drop targets that bent back when hit, launching the ball up in the air.
