Hi All, me and my wife have always wanted to purchase a pinball machine but have never had the space and could not really afford/justify the spend.

We are finally ready to make the investment into a machine and after much research we feel the simpsons would fit our household, we would love an older model machine with good game play and from what I have seen the Simpsons fits this perfectly - of course it helps all of us love the show too :)

After doing some research it appears we have picked a machine that is very hard to source but it seems if I am to find one this site might be the place. So if anyone is aware of a machine for sale please could you let me know, equally if you are selling one please let me know. I have a van so can drive to collect if required.

I have also seen the Simpsons pinball party so would be interested in this machine if you have one for sale.

many thanks
Tom

Not to put you off as I’ve not played either, but the newer Stern version The Simpson’s Pinball Party is meant to be the better game
Thanks for your reply, I have heard this too :) i think it’s the fact we are stuck between the nostalgia and game play.

Be interested in either that are for sale.

thank you, appreciate it

Welcome to the forum!

I love Data East pins but have to agree, you'll get more game and more reliability for your money with the later model Stern.

The common asking price of the '90s one is nonsense. Don't get conned.

If in doubt ask here before you buy!

Good luck with your search

Tim

If you really love the theme then great- you never know, if you get into the hobby more then you might change it out for something else or add another pin; Just be careful not to over pay on EBay or Facebook- you’re far better off buying from this forum in my experience. Lots of people will give you advice and are generally more honest/ fair with descriptions and prices

£4k for what I would say is a £2k pin but given the work put in my top price would be £3k …… Negotiate if you really want it @Tomshine

I think that's a fair price.

I always imagine what price something would have to be to sell in seconds, and i think 1600 would be a steal in today's market, even 1800 probably no issues.

So whenever you're within ballpark of that, you can be happy you're not being stupid or buying with your cock vs brain.

Remeber also when you go looking for a specific title you're always going to pay a slight premium unless you get lucky and something just comes up.

Matt is also a good guy, so buy with confidence.

Hth!

Thanks everyone, i have spoken to Matt and unfortunately he has sold his machine a few weeks ago :( after figuring out that the link hullshark posted was for sale from a member not on this forum i have sent an enquiry message. I did get a warning that the member hasn't logged in for the last few months so by all accounts seems to be a dead lead - but you never know :)

Ill keep looking and as mentioned if anyone has either Simpsons machines available i am interested. Thanks Strobey i am always up for paying a fair price and would be happy to pay slightly over if required, totally understand chasing a specific machine is always harder and you need to be prepared to potentially spend a bit more.

Hi again, we visited four quarters in London this week thanks to @Marcx and had a great time, there we managed to play Simpsons data east.

then tonight we visited flip out! Wow amazing place, Matt was great and showed us around! We will definitely be back.

I think we have decided that pinball party was more for us though so we will continue our search, as always if anyone gets wind of one or has one to sell please drop us a line :)

thanks again
Tom
