I ordered some rivets from Pinball Center, can we just use a normal washer on the back or is it a special item as I cant find anything listed, the ones on there are almost like a star shape
I also need the correct tool, have seen a cheap C -Clamp device or a expensive press at £200 which is a bit much to do 2 ramp flaps.
Any links and tips always much appreciative :)

I have been looking at these on Amazon, but I have no idea if the tool size is correct, the rivets are 1/8 I think ?
This press has a option of 10mm, 12mm and 14mm which will all be too big ?
I am not even sure how they size a rivet, 1/8 is only like 3mm, that must be the body size and not the dome, I think this is also for Kam snap rivets which is a flat rivet ?
I will keep doing some research.
Many Thanks

You can get the arbor press from machine mart you will have to modify it slightly then get the dies and rivers from pin reastore

If you are talking semi-tubular rivets this is the set up I use.

The arbour press was about £20 ,can't remember what I paid for the 1/8" rivet dies. I drilled the press to accept the dies, job done.

I think the smaller one is called a Third Hand Rivet Tool. It doesnt cope well with 1/8" steel rivets, tends to twist. It is probably ok with brass or aluminium flavours.2eb1dc8dbb07876c2e20537c5c41cb1b.jpg89c9a5df7cbe00ed54e253074a05aacb.jpg

I have exactly the same setup!!

I think it was an ebay special. The blue paint was still soft on it when I unwrapped it. All the packaging had stuck to it [emoji16]

Thanks for all the info, I have ordered the press from machine mart.
I am just seeing if anywhere else has the correct dies as these shipping costs and custom charges from the US are killing me....

Pinrestore is the best place to get the dies and rivits.
Yes shipping is a killer but what its worth the peace of mind that you are buying the correct tool.

Just about to place an order on pin restore. Order comes to $112 and at the checkout it jumps to $227. It says on the site they will refund too but anyone know the rough cost for delivery?
