Price of Addams Family Over Time - Please Help

At this point, we are collecting price points. I am not sure we have seen a point where we have an upswing in price to try to correlate the data with forum membership.
This forum is always seeing new people joining. And older member go inactive. The actual forum activity was usually fairly consistent, just from a different set of people.

I had one a bit over a decade ago. I know I sold it in 2010 but can’t for the life of me remember what I bought it or sold it for. I think around £1.5k?

What I do remember is that the guy I bought it from neglected to mention it was upstairs, and the staircase was too narrow for the machine to make it down with the backbox on. Didn’t have any tools with me so he had to get a local guy who’d restored it around to help get it out.

2010 bought T2 & TAF for £1000. They were both site machines that I took over in Newcastle as the guy that owned them lived in Sheffield & couldn’t be ar$ed with fixing them when something biggish went wrong with them. I was already dealing with minor problems.

God knows why but I was reading aloud some of the posts in this section re prices to my wife who has no interest in pinballs whatsoever.
There was complete silence for a couple of minutes (which tbh was great, as it don’t happen very often) then out of the blue she says “ well if new people are pushing up prices then ban new people from joining” Before I can reply she adds “I bet there’s not one single woman on the committee thingy running this pinball shambles is there that’s why it’s in the state it is”
You can reply what you want but me, I’m a devout coward and as I have to live with her I’m not passing one single reply on.

I am not sure I can fully see the cause and effect she has observed. But woman are welcome to join the committee just as soon as there is one.

Hold on though, we could ban the new people who have cheap pinball machines to sell?

I do like a challenge:

So, my TAF cost £6,351 from EBAY in December 2020. The previous owner was selling due to a house move - having bought it in May 2020 from HL for £7,997. As a newbie I was ( please don't laugh) attracted/reassured by the HL service and check !

Being curious I looked into previous sales on here - (I found the forum after I had bought). And found my machine (insert wear matches perfectly)_ sold in Feb 2020 for £4750.

So that's three price points. Oh, has the gold ROM fitted now.

Sold The Addams Family £4750

Addams family for sale £4750. Fully working. Perfect DMD. No damage to topper. Cabinet and back box not perfect but they been touched in, etc, and look very presentable. Some wear around inserts (see pics) but not as bad as many I have seen. The real highlight of this machine is under the...

Got mine in July 2016. Plays well but mansion inserts are pretty trashed. £2750.

I've got a cpr playfield to put in at some point, so might get that work done and cash it in, could get a godzilla pro for the sort of money they are going for, and whilst I enjoy addams, I would enjoy godzilla more!!

should this not be in the price discussion thread? Moderators saddle up!
No, because there would be no easy way to pull the TAF posts out amongst the others... This one is machine specific, and was a call for info on one pin to give a price reference. Not a general request for a price on machine x.

I would saddle up, but the horse has bolted...

And 12.2% average inflation per annum. But this is really misleading as the "average" machine sold in 2020- 2022 was probably in way better condition than the "average" 2007 that would have been with worn playfield, broken plastics, no mods etc. So some of this inflation is just capital improvement. I excliuded the gold at 12.5K from below.
