Most us are either stunned/ annoyed/ worried at the prices for games these days. It seems to be the number one topic on the forum.

It might be interesting to show the changes over time. The easiest way to do this is to use the most common game - TAF. Biggest production volume. Still takes good money on location. Many of us have owned one. Second most played game in the UK league.

Been around 30 years. They routinely come up for sale. It has not suddenly gained or lost its popularity. So it is a pretty good proxy for the "market". It is the Gold Sovereign of the pinball world

Please put down the price and date (month and year if possible) you either bought or sold your Addams. Game must he complete and working. No TAF Golds though

Good/ Bad/ Refurbed/ Private Sale v Dealer ... it will all average out so no point trying to be too specific about it. It does not matter if the buyer, seller or both report a deal as it will not move the best fit line

Mine was 1100 in Feb 98.

If we get enough data points, I will do a scatter graph.

Bought one in 2010 for £1750, traded it a year later for a ToM.

I’d say it was in very good condition save for a small magnet burn.

Straight out of storage from an arcade in 2012 £2300. I remember this being less than eBay prices at the time. I will try to find the spreadsheet where I was tracking prices.

£2,500 April 2014. Private purchase. Went to pick up tz and seller was about to list his taf on ebay so bought that too. Decent condition, 100pct working, not recently cleaned only issue was a bit of mansion wear.

Bought March 2018 (basket case) £2800.
Sold around Feb 2019 £5k (restored)
Bought £5k 2019 (very nice work mate) added nearly £1k of bits, colour dmd and mirror backglass plus some and sold about 2021 for £6k.
Was told I could have got £7k but I didn’t do all the hard work but guess I could have split it, doh!

Paid £4425 inc delivery mid 2016. Sold (part ex against a new machine with PH) maybe about 6 months later I think for £4500.

2006 £575, restored inc new playfield , plastics, redecaled total strip down and deep clean, when finished it wa a beautiful machine. Put up for sale at the Wickstead Park show in 2007 for £2200. Sold pretty quick.
2007, £350, this came all in boxes with the guarantee it was all there, luckily it was same as above total restore and put up for sale at the 2008 Wickstead show, this time for £2500 , sold in minutes, had two people fighting over it.
2008 , £900 , this had a beautiful playfield so only needed the plastics and redecal and complete strip down and clean. Didn’t take this to the Northampton show I sold it to good friend and he still has it.
2010 bought a TaF from a place in Bradford put onto it by Chris Brim most I’d ever paid for a Addams £1250 but it did come with a brand new IPB playfield so it was worth it. Same treatment swapped out the playfield plastics and redecaled plus a complete strip down and full clean. That one sold for £3000 .
Had plenty more , I think around 12 in total and all under £1200 but the above I remember more than the rest.
Don’t own one myself at the moment but I know where two of the restored machines are to this day.

I just think if you are worried about pin prices or are buying bad pins at high prices just to have another then you need to cool off a bit . I usually like most have time in my day to dream and look for pins but recently I had a big wake up call in life and that another pinball is really in not the most important thing , yes it’s annoying covid , manufacturing times ect even I have missed out on some amazing bargains since 2012 but it’s not the end of the world , wouldn’t care but I’m not even much of an Addams family fan 😂

Bought an Addams from Mike Kloss Duke of Pinball around the early 2000`s for £1000. Played brilliant and was showing signs of wear and tear cosmetically but nothing terrible. I was happy to move it on a few months later as i like to try everything pinball. It is the only way to find out what you personally like more than the over hyped games. And yes back in those days i was happy to get my money back no more no less . It sure beat having old cars as a hobby for draining your money. Nowadays well pinball is just not worth the money they go for, they just aren`t .

From memory a website exists that logs pinball prices. No idea how far they go back.

I have paid £1000 - £7000 for TAF

Condition is obviously a big influence on the price.
