The audio, music and speech are contained in their own Rom chips, and I don't expect that the game program verifies them - in fact, I think it would be awkward to do so. The game program makes requests for audio, but if the sound program's for a different game, the equivalent contents of that is what will emerge. So Swords of Fury audio chips ought to work with Space Station game chips. I tried an audio pcb I'd repaired for a Black Rose in the first suitable game I encountered (a Funhouse) and it was odd to hear the mismatch.
