Pinball courier prep

I used a company called Pack & Send

I got a jukebox from the USA to me in about 4 days - 2 days were basically it being held in customs.

Was about £600.

BE CAREFUL WITH PALLETS !!!!!!!

This is not bulls-hit - if going on a plane you have to use fire-proof treated pallets. Also when Mr Palmer several years ago shipped a couple of pallet loads to Oz, they had to be treated for insects! Different countries have different rules.

To go to hong kong then read this:

This is heat treating to kill insects.

This is good to know, and was exactly the sort of thing I meant when I said “anything else I need to know” - many thanks @Pick Holder

Haha, the shipping company I got the cost from just came back and said this:

In fact, I have had a look at the estimate in more depth and I made a mistake: I did not include the cost of the crating in the original quote, which makes the cost slightly higher, at a total of £2310.75. Apologies for my mistake.
-Collection + packing =£699.91
-Shipping, clearance + onward delivery £1610.84

OMG OMG 😧

“Slightly higher”…??!

I just realised, my quote is from the same company… Asking why such a huge discrepancy now. Appreciate you sharing the cost of yours.

I used pack and send for some art, bullet proof crate, pretty painless except for customs but that was DHL issue, kept charging I to my work.
