Looks like Taxi for next week then. I played a game of it too last night, doubling my previous high score on the first attempt. Goes to show that playing so much Pinball Arcade since the competition started has greatly improved my digital game. Its just a shame it doesn't seem to carry over to real tables as I can't seem to get near the scores I set previously on my TZ after playing it less recently. The real game is a whole lot faster and less predictable than the simulation, which in turn makes it a lot more fun.
I think FarSight have definitely done a better job recreating some of the tables than others, both the way they look and play (on the whole the newer ones seem better.) To be honest the way the digital TZ plays is horrific, nothing like the real machine at all. I still really like the game though as it gives exposure to lots of tables you otherwise wouldn't get to play. Although TPA TZ feels lame after playing a real one, I never would of bought it had it not of been for the simulation. I haven't played a real Scared Stiff, but with this in mind I'm sure that Archytas is correct in saying that the real one is a lot of fun. Maybe that just means that fun tables on TPA are truly exceptional for real.
