PayPal or bank transfer advise please

FWIW: the banking system in the USA (in my experience) is very lacking compared to Australia and the UK. They just don't seem to have the systems in place to easily make transfers to another person. Maybe this is why or how PayPus was able to get a stranglehold in the first place?
This is exactly why. PayPal wasn't needed here, it just happened because it was forced down people's throats by Americans and their websites like eBay.

My wife is American and let's just say that between PayPal and American banks, PayPal is the devil I'd rather know if in America. That should terrify you.

thanks for comments guys...he has perfect e bay score and 15 machines on pinside collection and I approached him as he wanted a playfield.....its a low risk i suppose for me but really didn't want PayPal .....I said we could just call each other and talk...seems the best way !
Under the circumstances I'd suggest just using PayPal and hoping for the best, if you want to sell it quickly. If he's got a perfect eBay score and feedback on Pinside then that's about as safe as it practically gets. At some point in any transaction where there is limited or no protection on either side there is always going to be an element of risk involved.
