Minhead pins

Still feeling the pinball buzz after Pinfest I went to the Arkade on Bank Holiday Monday and was left disappointed as ****! Loads of great machines in shocking states. Filthy, perished rubbers, weak flippers. Pretty much all unplayable. Shame as it could be a real cool pin location. I wanted to rescue all the machines! 😄
I was in the general area a month or so ago and diverted to Minehead specifically to visit the arcade and I agree with @sigh909 it was really disappointing, and it seems so strange to have many thousands of £s tied up in the machines and not bother to keep them running well.

The AFM was alright but T2, IJ and the others I played (or tried to play, TAF wouldn’t take coins) were poor. :(

That’s because the afm came from me 😂😂

will hopefully be taking a ride on the heritage railway from Taunton on Sunday if weather is nice. Will deffo check this place out!

Is there whirlwind and elvira still there?

It not easy operating machines! My old whirlwind. In the end it was just so bloody frustrating to play so had to go!

I fully understand its difficult keeping on top of machine maintenance, but when 80% of your games are switched off with parts missing or pretty much unplayable it sucks for a pin fan, especially those who have travelled considerable distances.

I stayed at Minehead last year for the weekend its only about 75 miles away for me. The trip was just to go down to Arkade on the Sunday to play the pinball's and yes half didn`t work and others had faults :(. I ended up playing the 70`s fruit machines instead.
Luckily had a great evening and night stay at the The Duke of Wellington so the whole weekend was not a total loss.

Yup I was there last year and it was crap. Was back in minehead but didn’t bother going to see if it had got better - looks like I was right!
