Just got back from taking my lad down to minehead. A little disappointed more than half the machines were turned off. And the ones that were on had atleast one issue which mostly seemed to be ball hold ups. Ap13 the ball kept getting stuck one one side of the narrow bit next to the rocket, taf also getting balls stuck. On the plus side I got my first 13 multiball on the first ball

The league meet was ace and I enjoyed the lovely selection he had .
Never seen or played a few so was really cool for me

What's the name of the place?

Is it Merlins Leisure?, as just been shown an Arcade on seafront to insure

Just come back from a trip down there today. Not impressed TBH. Some of the machines are in a terrible state, lots switched off like Flash, Apollo, Frankenstein, Dr Who, rubbers missing on slings on TAF, poor flipper power on Party Zone, Fishtales, Pinbot, Bride and TZ, perished rubbers on lots of machines, Indy Jones ball sticks on left in lane and couldn't be nudged out, had to get attendant twice before I just gave up, Who Dunnit taking coins and entering test mode and resetting as soon as you start, etc. Lots of problems. Only ones worth playing were High-speed 2, Demolition Man, T2 and Elvira Party Monsters. Plus none of the machines on the longest wall are level, balls always heading to the right hand side! Seeing a slingshot rubberless Adams Family was painful! Plastics taken a beating. Shame, because when I walked in to Arkade it all looked great at first sight. Maybe it was a bad day? I've heard some good things, but I won't be rushing back down there. If in the south west, I'd recommend Special When Lit over Arkade any day of the week for your pin fix. Personal opinion.

They need work on them. I will contact the owner and will let you know his reply.

Thanks. The two guys there attending were really nice. TBF they did start cleaning playfields whilst I was there which was nice to see.

Thanks @sigh909 for the objective report, saved me a visit later this month. Hopefully things will turnaround and it will return to the level when the league played there.

Maybe it's a little bit "out of season" in Minehead and they've let it slip? I hope the pins get some love and attention. I would like to return at some point when the place is tip top as it's not that far from me.

Only just seen this post but you are were all spot on, The chap who use to keep on top of the pins is no longer here and will not be back. I have have been pre- occupied with other things and quite simply we have to prioritise when its busy. In the summer we simply did not have the time to play them and check them out let alone sort the problems out. Ben and Pete have been working through the problems, and have done an excellent job. As of this morning they are all on with the exception of whos dunnit which we are still waiting for a part for and we also seem to have lost Fester in TAF. (which I only noticed as I was testing out the flipper.). Now today Diner has suddenly developed and adjust failure. If you do come and play any and notice anything at all, just let us know, we are now keeping a seperate notebook for pinball faults reported by customers. Its only the customers who know a pinball that sometimes actually spot a fault and tell us. After the DM and the Getaway arrived we have been spending some time on the others. We have spent a few bob on LEDs but we are still working on all the back boxes though. Apologies to anyone who made a special journey and was disapointed, By all means send us a message via our facebook page before you come next time and let us know and we will tell you if any are off. We now have 19 at the Arkade and 3 at The Blue Anchor pub, and it is hard work keeping on top of them, but I always knew it would be. Of to have an audit of what spare rubbers we have now. Still after a Rollergames and a Whirlwind, (when funds allow)

How? If he's fallen off his chair he would be on the playfield??
It was a case of someone continuing to play after he fell off, snapping all the wires that he was attached to. Will have to order a new fester unit

Yes and one of the best mods in my opinion. Light bulb in mouth shows when rooms are available. Looks like it should have always been there.

I think he looks abit naff to be honest would be better if it was a decent sculpt and the bulb was actually in scale

Still feeling the pinball buzz after Pinfest I went to the Arkade on Bank Holiday Monday and was left disappointed as ****! Loads of great machines in shocking states. Filthy, perished rubbers, weak flippers. Pretty much all unplayable. Shame as it could be a real cool pin location. I wanted to rescue all the machines! 😄
