Martin delivery man - update ( and Tron )

Yeah, me too. I have to go headless to move the machines out of the room they are in. It means it is not a quick job and would hinder me having a quick swap or lend one out for a short period of time.
I widened the door by chipping off the old plaster prior to the plaster finishing the room and he put metal beading up and reduced any gains I had made. 🎻

Is it easy to remove the head? Might have to if Martin cant help me get a machine thru me window when I get one

Taking it off is easy. Putting it back on might not be quite so easy!

Also, you'd better know for sure that there aren't any board hacks with wires soldered directly to boards else you could be in a world of hurt.

Grrr lol, well hopefully whoever delivers will help me get it through the window otherwise it's head off. Is there special tools required? If it was my house I'd pop off the beading on the only door frame that's just to narrow

Finally took delivery of Dr dude from Martin yesterday, great service I would definately use again. Huge thanks to Grizz/Ive for a great first pin and making buying my first pin an easy, stress free experience ;)

Tip for anyone attempting to move a pin upstairs - get yourself 4 standard hook clamps used for theatre lighting, remove the bolts and bolt them into the leg holes. This gives you grips on each corner of the machine which you can hold (gloves recommended) or attach straps to. Made moving the pin to my top-floor flat a breeze.

Great to know it got to you nice and safe. Great guy Martin and very professional.

As for getting a machine upstairs, the easiest way it to break it down into three parts.
Take off the head and take out the playfield, leaving you with three manageable units to take upstairs.

Has anyone had contact from Martin recently? I'm after a collection/delivery asap but can't get an answer from him?

Anyone else used another delivery service they could recommend?

I spoke to him Monday - he is picking a machine up for me sometime around now. If you text him he usually gets back - think he might be crazy busy as usual .

Yeah, your right Grizz, he's just called to say he's snowed under with work. Had a chat and arrangements have been made.
