I bought this in November and it was always the plan to play it for 3-4 months and enjoy it and then trade it for something else. So, nows the time to put the feelers out and see what people think regarding p/x.

I am also assuming JJP Harry Potter is not just a rumour and I am hoping its gonna be worth a punt so if anyone wants to offer an outright purchase for this Hobbit then I'll stick the funds into the Potter bucket.


Good bits:

I have new Smaug side blades here that will be included (as theres some mild scratches on the inside of the cab where the playfield has been lifted in the past)
Cab art is decent

Bad parts:
The drop down F is the word DWARF is not coming back up. The game compensates for it though so it plays as it should - ie hit the target behind the F and and it triggers the F in DWARF.
Scoop is a 7/10 - Cliffy is available. Its not horrible and you dont really notice it but, in my opinion, its starting to show its age.

Martin is dropping off 2 pins at mine on Tuesday the 11th of March and picking up one machine. If the stars align, he can hopefully pickup this Hobbit next Tuesday and bring it to whoever wants it.

Bump. Open to anything as p/x, even something that doesn’t have much love. If its 4k cash my way plus a tough sell pin, shout. Data East stuff would be great as i can use parts to troubleshoot a friend’s pin and hopefully get that working too.

Sadly we've now missed Martin but that does mean I have time to fix the faulty drop target so I'll get onto that over the next week and order a part if need be. Therefore, it should be fully working in a few weeks if anyone still wants a trade.....just bare in mind now though that it wont be collected from me for a while if you want to use Martin. I'll also fit the side blades after I fix the drop target.

For trade value, i'm putting STh, JP2,GoTG and this Hobbit all at the same price so hoping for a straight swap on these.

I'll stick it up on ebay once its fixed but it will be 6k plus buyers fees on there and I would much rather have someone on here make an offer they feel comfortable with and buy it via here. Price is flexible on here but will be fixed on ebay.

Played Hobbit a few times, so picked one at the weekend. Such a great machine. I love great world under glass / story type games, and JJP did such a good job with this with the mini screen working as a an actual story narrative. The modes are great and there's a ton of them, the ball doesn't drain super easily, so you can make your play times long (which totally suits me). But the best thing is the theme integration - the movie clips, the sounds, the art package. If you're a Tolkien / Hobbit fan, the game nails it.

Can’t remember but its in the thousands. Its not HUO. But from the minimal cab damage I assume its sat on the same site for most of its life.

You can purchase new cages for the drop targets from pinball life. Defo one of the best pinball worlds under glass. No idea why this hasn’t been snapped up.

You must read minds. I troubleshooted the issue yesterday and found the fault. Drop target reset bracket was broken so ordered a replacement from pinball life.
