After reading another post it’s given me a great idea for one lucky tinkerer. I’ve lost momentum in the restoration of my jaguar Mk2 race car and after the recent sale of my ghostbusters I’d rather spend my time and money on pinball. So I’m offering to loan out my project car for one year for free if you complete the restoration, I’ll also throw in some new parts and can give a list of what you will need to buy.
I will cover the transport cost to the loaner but I expect to be able to drive it home once complete.
I think this is a fair deal as you get to build a race car without the trouble of owning one.
Please feel free to pm me with your interest.
Thanks

Send it me, you may never see it again as I have a spare V5 and I do fancy a Mk2. I'll clear a sketchy lock-up in anticipation of Martins delivery.....

I knew a guy who posted a car, cut into chunks for transport to Jamaica once. Ford Cortinas shipped out 2' square at a time. His contact would reassemble their end. Madness.
My dad once re shelled his race car then got a skip and cut up the old car into the skip. The skip driver came to collect his skip and was gutted as he said he would have bought the car and now he need to charge him for the skip 🤦‍♂️😅

We bought a brand new moped for our full time Filipina maid to use when we lived in Malaysia. She used to go and do all the shopping and other chores and go see her boyfriend who lived 20 miles away etc. When we left we gave it to her as a parting gift. It was dismantled and taken in parts to the Phillipines in the checked baggage suitcases of all her friends as they each went on their annual home leave. It took about 10 flights in total. One would take a wheel another the engine another the fairing etc. Once in the Phillipines it was reassembled for her sister to use.
