I wasn't having a dig at Metallica, rather commenting on that it's a great layout and plays well but while the theme will attract a lot of people on the flip side it will alienate people too (who I'd rather see playing pinball) so a re-themed game could be a win-win for Stern...
Still doesn't explain why I seem to get on with MOPLE but no other versions...
I get what you are saying mate, but you could apply that logic to any theme really. If they re-themed the new Star Trek to Star Wars then they would pick up xxxx extra sales from people who prefer the Star Wars franchise.
Metallica is a huge huge target audience, but sales are not going to be anywhere near what they should be because they refuse to put the time into the software. We are not talking about polishing off the code and fixing bugs, there are so many loud complaints about the missing features that should have been in the game from day 1. All you would end up with is another theme with unfinished software that no one wants to buy
