With so many new machines about, I thought it would be interesting to see what new pin you would choose if you could have any one from the above list for nothing?

Hard to say at the moment as The Hobbit is a real wild card. Good theme for me but so little info. Could be fantastic, could be a total turd. Theme-wise Predator rocks. For me the weakest theme is FT, I would have been far more into Andy's original drunken pigs idea. Wonder if those clamoring for an original theme will buy into it?

Good to have so many coming out though

I have voted without thinking about cashing in because I could ask for the WoZ SLE and then flog it and buy a Predator + FT.
So Predator is the one I would want if they were all worth the same....

I don't think FT theme is the issue. it's the execution of it. I love motorbikes and own one myself. The art is straight out of 1983 however. Generic sports bikes, riders without knee joint, farting fire.

As it can be anything, Magic Girl, without a doubt. From what I have seen it is going to be spectacular and it really is limited - originally 13 but think 20 now.

The hobbit would be a gamble but I love the idea of the theme. I've played so few machines though, I bet there is an older one that I'd be happy to own just as much as a BNIB.

MM for me out of those choices. For the simple reason that I have played it many times and know I like it! WOZ does nothing for me I'm afraid and the others don't exist yet so pretty risky really.

For nothing then would be a toss up between MM and Hobbit but as I prefer the old MM and i'm a Tolkien fan then would have to be The Hobbit.

Would help if you actually read the question/vote "Which machine would you choose?" Not Machines!! You've already chosen 3 out of the 5 so why not go the whole hog and choose the other 2 and oh while you are at it choose other as well!!

What the hells your problem?

LE MM is on order so that answers the question, love the predator theme but so many factors are still open to question, build quality and more importantly feel etc, Hobbit I will try and track down at a later date judging from WOZ the Hobbit will be a no holds barred machine when it comes to build quality and features, I suppose it's down to game play from this point onwards, all these are heavy weights in their own right.

With so many new machines about, I thought it would be interesting to see what new pin you would choose if you could have any one from the following list for nothing?

Was there a list?

I assume from the follow ups that the list had 5 in it: MM, Predator, FT, Hobbit, Metallica?

But then there was also mention of other new machines, like Magic Girl. And don't forget Captain Nemo, The Matrix, America's Most Haunted, Star Trek, WOZ, Whoa Nelly and her Juicy Melons, and The Muppets.

If I can have just one machine for free, I'll take the MM please. I know it's not a new game but it's the best of them all. What a great renaissance there is in this hobby, so many new machines!

There is a list in the poll, but it appeared above the post for some reason.

the 'other' choice is to cover all the rest.

MMR also.

From the list
Predator
Like the potential but have not played a game on it so it's a no brainer.
WOZ 75th Ruby Red LE
Rebadged WOZ LE - desperately needs improved/finished game code but not impressed with what I've played on so far. At the UKPP I spent (a wasted) 5 mins just trying to hit the remaining w in rainbow for the ball save as the game wouldn't allow any other shots or scoring (AIUI). That's a long time playing a game that doesn't allow any other shots or scoring.

Medieval Madness Remake
Proven and much sort after game. Much humour and well worked proven selection of shots.
Heighway Full Throttle
Only had the one game in Berlin after Andy had blown the LEDs in it so it was a bit dark, with a very basic rule set. The game (what I could see of it) appeared to flow nicely. Pity the latest backglass is missing the flaming back ends!

The Hobbit
Exists on paper only, no brainer.
Other (Please state)
other serious possibilites are:
AC/DC premium.
Suppose to be one of the best games ever. After a few games I'm not convinced but have decide I need to put a lot of games on it to see! :D Would be my second choice
Star TREK
Really liked what I've seen and played of it so far. Would be third choice.

Metallica
Like POPLE for some reason whilst not liking any of the other Metallica's out there. Can't help thinking it should be rebadged to something else for those that aren't hardcore metalheads! ;)
Magic Girl
Not played, no brainer
Captain Nemo
Like what I saw when I played on it 14 months ago but not really seen or heard anythong since...
The Matrix
Fantasic theme but to me it will always be a rebaged JM with different software. Already own a JM.
America's Most Haunted
Not played, no brainer
Whoa Nelly and her Juicy Melons
Not played, no brainer
The Muppets
Is this really likely to ever be a game...!!!

If I had the choice, probably 'Magic Girl' from John Popaduik. The teaser shots fom expo showed some really fantastic artwork with an LCD in the cab in the same position as the dmd was in Cirqus Voltaire. Sadly, only the people who bought the machine on preorder know exactly whats going on and when. They all signed an NDA. :(

(i'd say Predator, but i'm already on the list for one)

4th best selling band in the world since 1991. There are few themes that could have a larger target audience than Metallica. It's a shame Stern can't be bothered finishing the software on what could have been their best selling game yet, if not for the huge amount of negative publicity on the US forums

I wasn't having a dig at Metallica, rather commenting on that it's a great layout and plays well but while the theme will attract a lot of people on the flip side it will alienate people too (who I'd rather see playing pinball) so a re-themed game could be a win-win for Stern...

Still doesn't explain why I seem to get on with MOPLE but no other versions...
