I think if you get it round the first horseshoe, then straight from that and round the one on the other side, its a super duper secret skill shot and even more points.

exactly this, I did this on a particularly evil POTC at the BOp, tripled my score on my final ball! Opponent wasn't watching and couldn't figure out how I'd scored so much so quickly.
Always nice when you know what you are doing.
