GnR 1 year on..

😂😂Makes me feel better about my scores, i agree with Neil i think the scoring needs clarity, i also don't enjoy buggering about with the patches as i just don't have time or inclination to remember them all. That said i do really enjoy the game, i am surprised Neil dumped his as it is different to everything else i have played and i would have thought it would make a change in his collection
Re Patches - I usually aim to collect the sponsor set for the extra ball and firecracker

My strategy is to max out the mini multi balls, throw the lights etc and lock as many balls as possible before starting a song ( avoiding the random award thing as it tends to start a song when u don’t want it to) I always pick fender and Gibson patches (if I remember)

Aye that's my current strategy too.

When I bagged the 12m I had all mini multi balls going at once and hit at least three of the jackpots and collected applause jackpot on the first song.

Can you explain in simple terms how to do this as I don’t have a clue and did wonder how you unlock that song.
One of the patches is the GnR Lies Album, if you collect that in open play you'll unlock the song.

If you need more info on Patches let me know Dave

Official:-
Patches are collected by spelling G-N-R on the left inlane. The drain on the upper playfield also spots a G-N-R letter on the LE/CE. Each patch has its own benefit that can make certain modes easier, increase scoring, etc. You use the action button to cycle through the patches. Once you leave it on a patch it will always be going for that patch. You can hold the left flipper and hit the action button to go “back” if you skip a patch. You can do this before you plunge also. The patch benefit is displayed in the playfield LCD. Important: All THREE inlanes can be cycled to move the GNR letters over.

Simple way to collect:-

Hit the action button to select the patch - until Melissa says, GNR lies before plunging.
Then just play pinball.
You will eventually hit all the correct shots.
When start a song is ready from scoop, you will see Patience can be selected from song selection.

Ok….
Out of the rock pins I own from a pin shooter shot satisfaction perspective, listed in order of preference:-
- Metallica Prem
- IMDN Pro
- ACDC Prem
- Kiss LE
- GnR LE

This is not overall gameplay, just feel good factor shots.

Ayee, I don’t think Met can be beat from a satisfying shot perspective. I played GnR briefly. The game layout felt slightly manic. Probably JJP’s weakest pin in that department. But the package as a whole, license content, art and music turns this game alright..
