Flipper tip(micro flip) passes on Stern Spike2?

Ok what sorcery is that!?
I wasn't aware of that skill, it does looks like magic.

I suppose I should have used the term 'micro flips' which you used above. Used in lots of skills but for me my favourite at the mo is passing the ball between flippers on Fish Tales to make the lock or left orbit depending on what side...it feels great!
Just can't get that same feel on TMNT and it's frustrating.

Is that the correct video as I wouldn't consider Indy 500 a newer game?

Yep it's the correct one. You only need to watch the first couple of minutes when the first guy up is practicing, you will see what I mean. Indy 500 is newer in terms of using the tap pass as a skill, this is probably one of the only documented examples of it being used on a game that isn't from the 80's or earlier, and it's only whilst he mucking about practicing before the match starts

I spoke to Karl; only adjustment he made on his Godzilla was to enable staging (controlling the upper and lower flipper separately) as it was set badly from the factory.

Ok sorry I was thinking it was the flick / tip pass in the video not the magic one!

Witchcraft though, who do you guys sell your soul to?😂

This is something I adjusted on Turtles also. I assume there's no standard for how far in you press a flipper button before it activates and then how much further for the upper flipper?
It's so different wherever you play but I think it's most consistent over the B/W games that use optos as you can't really adjust those like a leaf switch.

I feel like the flipper activating earlier is better than having to press the button all of the way in. But again that is something you have to adapt to on different games.

I'm struggling to see the difference. Where more bend? Into the button ?
I bent the spring which is the first strip nearest the cabinet towards the button .When the button is reinstalled it pushes back on the spring so you dont see much change but it actually pushes a lot firmer

Hi Neil- do you know which setting this is on a SAM game- seen this on a WPT RayDay stream where he’s staging for the top two flippers; but I can’t get my bottom two to stay up when trying to flip the upper playfield

It’s not a setting it’s the flipper switch adjustments

It's not hard, if you put the playfield up and go into switch test then press the button you'll see how it works.
You just have to bend one of the leaf switches so they activate one at a time. Can share a photo if it helps

Will have a look over the weekend and see if I get anywhere with it. If you can post a pic that would be helpful but don’t worry if it’s any bother. Thing is for WPT, it would be helpful to stage the flippers so that you can keep hitting with the two upper flippers without draining when I cradle up on the lower flippers

Might differ slightly on an older stern but will be similar.

When you press the button one contact will close, then the further you press it the second one will be pushed closed.
If you can't stage it means both contacts are bent so far towards the button that they are both activating at the same time.

I'd start by bending one so it's further always (bend close to the bottom of the switch where the wood is).
Then study how the switch moves when you push the button in, it's like a domino effect.

The red circled gap is the main flipper then the green is upper. As you push the button the leaf moves to the right closing the red bits then as you push it further it'll close the green.

I realise the photo isn't that great.
I'll try get a little video of it in the next few days if it's still confusing.
