My favourite pinball moments are usually related to seeing something novel or different for the first time.
Playing F14, having previously had Ballys Harley Davison in the Uni Halls games room. The sound, the lights, beacons, kickback were all immense. Still a great game today.
Playing T2. Seeing a DMD for the first time ever and then playing the video mode was fantastic, add on to that the gun handle, timed skull lock and hitting the Super Jackpot - brilliant, although the game does feel extremely dated today.
Playing TZ and getting to the upper playfield to Battle the Zone, how does the ball move without flippers - was crazy to think that it was just magnets able to move the ball, but still 30 odd years on I've no idea how to aim while up there.
Completing the scared stiff when the flippers and lights go crazy - I genuinely thought I'd broken something.
From a personal point of view, memories that really stick out are:
Getting 1 billion on ANY machine for the first time - I did it on Indiana Jones.
Winning the League in my first full year and realising that I was actually quite decent and measured up to other people's standards.
Winning a National comp for the first time, against all the top UK players

Winning the UK Open Classic against all the top UK players, as well as some of the best players from across Europe and the US.
Being inducted into the UK Pinball Hall of Fame - actually realising that there was some recognition for the amount of time and effort I'd put in to try and better the pinball scene in the UK.
