Ok, so as someone pretty new to pinball ownership I have now managed to turn one machine into four in the sapce of a few months (yes, a couple of you did warn me this happens!). I wasn't very scientific about my first choices, I just looked around for while and then I bought what I thought came up at an affordable price. I am absolutely loving all this and the ones i have bought have been superb (so thanks to all on here that sold me a machine). As a result of this I have decided I have room for one more at the moment.......and......at the request of my son, we fancy a horror themed game.

So, the exam question is......what do you folks reckon is the best horror themed game? If we put budget aside, what would you recommend based on game play and "atmospherics" ? I have seen some Bram Stokers Draclua vids and it looks pretty good. Unfortunately I have not had the chance to see many pins in the flesh.....so I'd love to know what you would all recommend.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

I feel like we had this question a few months back from a new member looking for a horror themed game. I think I may have said TWD, so I'll stick with that answer.

I've never had the chance to play Alien sadly which is a shame because it's a stunningly brilliant theme

there are more jokey horror (elvira x3 MB 1812 TAF MUN TFTC CFTBL Genesis Magic Castle etc) games than serious horror titles. if its serious has to be as above TWD and BSD. with an honorable mention for Haunted House. I think MSF was meant to be serious but came out hyper campy - when it calls out "Victor" it hard not to reply - "I dont believe it!"

had one of these once. rarest horror game now is probably Spooky but then Lee Buck has a Mephisto

If it's predominantly for your son, I'm guessing you don't want too brutal a machine with a deep complicated rules set, as such that would count out TWD & BSD despite them being great games.

I'd suggest Scared Stiff or Monster Bash as having horror elements while still being fun and easy to play, or even TAF. All of which come up for sale regularly.

BSD without a doubt. I've reduced the collection to one keeper and this is the survivor of the cull.

Not forgetting Funhouse. Being stalked by a talking ventriloquist dummy with moving eyes in a closed funhouse is pretty creepy.
