yeah I saw those on ebay, but luckily I was already sorted, thanks for the link though, well Ive just finished fitting the 2" flipper, and all seems good so far, fingers crossed

CONTROVERSIAL

like others, I wanted to believe in the dream of the 2" Vector top right flipper. The stuff of legends and interviews with the design team. It looks so much sweeter with the little flipper up there. We all want to make our pinballs better with prototype plastics, adding features that the accountants withdrew for cost reasons, fixing things that the manual listed wrongly .....

However, the full sized flipper is better to play with. Miles better. It actually makes it possible to shoot the xyz targets in order and it gives you far better play time on the mini playfield. Time on the mini playfield is far too short with the mini flipper, particularly as there are three drain holes up there

It is however critical that you severely bend the EoS on the top right to significantly weaken this flipper. If you don't, it will smash drops and even the bulbs behind them - as it did on mine when I first got the game. The big flipper will hold balls too, so again you can actually aim rather than thrash and pray which is how it is with the mini

My less controversial tip for the Vector brotherhood is super-band flipper rubbers. Now the yellow looks yucky, so I will try another colour in the future. But it really sharpens up the bottom of the game and gives you more control on those vital hype targets
