we gotta go back ...... back to the future!

as themes go this is one of the coolest out there, which is why you don't see too many of these on the market. i bought this about a year ago from @Will aka TVWB and it was at the last Slam next to the Delorean on the Saturday and in the classics on the Sunday. check out the horrendous images of Michael J Fox after he wouldn't allow his pic to go on the machine - apparently that's the son of one of the designers. Christopher LLoyd had no problem selling his image rights for this (also as Fester on TAF) and is memorable in this film from a pinhead perspective for the memorable line where he says he sold a fake bomb to some terrorists, that was really a bunch of old pinball machine parts :)

there's a fun flyer for this game which has Gary Stern on it as Doc Brown

good points: cab is pretty decent for its age. everything is working including the display (doesn't come across on video). playfield looks like it may have mylar all over it, which would be good. and it's a BTTF

bad points: several areas of wear on the playfield. some lettering on inserts is flaky, and the mylar is lifted / bubbled in places. back leg screwholes inside the cab have no nut attached, needs one of those £5.50 leg support thingies i expect, but i never bothered as it's quite safe without one. no backbox lock. some boardwork done on the past. hence the price - check this out for recent auction results.

ok so first a video

and now a bunch of pictures that will go over two posts. viewing welcome in West London.

You'll regret selling this!
Nice irony is that its the ultimate 80s theme but not an 80s machine

First Monster Bash and then this? You in the market for something new Dan?

Oh, and good luck with the sale. Although I have to say i've missed your travel reports of late....

No plans for anything new out of the ordinary, I don't do NIB, and these two have both been tabled for the exit for ages.

BTTF is fun and a time capsule and cool and retro but not a keeper for me. MB is a keeper but I bagged that home use only one a while back as an upgrade, just had to get round to swapping my mods and the colour DMD out and sorting a couple of switch issues, which I did as I didn't want to sell it til it was looking and playing perfect. Hence the new trim and backbox lock, and cliffy and decals and some new bulbs and flashers and a couple of replaced microswitches. I spent a bit of cash and a few hours to bring it up to sale standard.

Always on the look for new games but I can't just keep collecting without selling some. That pesky bank manager and his mortgage demands.

I'm up to 4 in the house now and that may be 5 soon.

Not really, I'm very lucky to have what I have.

You did well to go from a busted up Shadow to a perfect TZ and getting-there FP. Next stop a NIB Wrestlemania?

Lol wrestlemania does nowt for me. I'd love a nib if I could ever afford one intill then I'm happy just trading up to better ones.

As for fp bloody things doing my head in spent ages rebuilding the hv section on the powerboard tonight and it's still not right! Grrr

PM Sent (I think)
Good luck with this JLT, I'd of gone for this but my wife has gone and bought a horse. Got to start saving again!

Thought I'd have to build up to a BTTF, this appears to be a real bargain even with the work needing done.

But then again I'm new to all this.

cheers dude, the simple fact is that the market swells and ebbs like the sea, and right now despite there being a load of new buyers around all looking for their first game, there's also a sh!t-ton of games up for sale. plus loads of expensive new titles tying up money, and the sun is out too so pinball takes a back seat for many with lives.

you're right though, six months ago this woulda gone the same day, partly cos the price is right but mainly cos it's a seldom seen title on the market. nowadays unless you're selling a TAF, you might sit around for ages waiting for bites. lucky for me the old lady next door just let me use her garage, so i have space and can wait it out

Shall I compare Monster Bash to a Wizard of Oz?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate:
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May so thou mightst nudge,
But nudge, don't tilt! or zounds you lose thy ball
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimmed,
And every fair from fair sometime declines,
Especially when Franky multiball makes up the Five
By chance, or nature's changing course untrimmed:
But thy eternal summer shall not fade,
Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow'st,
Or just go up and down and up and down for evermore zzzz i'm losing the will to liveth here
Nor shall death brag thou wander'st in his shade,
And god, that music is like cheesegrater-eth the ear
Jeez it's worst than fricketh XFiles on a bull's pizzle,
When in eternal lines to time thou grow'st,
So long as men can breathe, or eyes can see,
So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.
Plus, in all thine eyes thou musteth know that WOZ is a bag of shyte

No one is biting on this cause everyone is hoping to win the one at NERG.
This will fly once that raffle is out of the way.

Yeah I'm a noob and yes I'm interested. Could be my first pin but a little over my budget. Great machine tho
