Just saw this and wondered what the game could be? I assume from the obvious, it’s space themed, but will it be an original game?

Anyone else know any more?

will be at TPF.

Lets hope its not 5 for 5 turds. Nordman usually delivers but the code is always a tad behind.

Give em a break Neil. Do you remeber Stern's first whitestar games? It's a tough grind. We're lucky they're still around.

Thought hotwheels was pretty fun. Apart from the rgb colour chases which drive me mad.

I really like Austin Powers btw so don't think I'm hating on Sega early Stern..

I wouldn’t say HW was a turd- Everyone has their own opinion and preference fair enough; but I’ve played far worse games. Austin Powers being one that I didn’t enjoy at all

but that's the point, back then there was no choice, today there is. HW is ok but they desperately need something to firmly place them on the map, they've got close but no cigar.

Stern have that license apparently, they grabbed it then they heard they had acquired the sonic game, poor management from AP.

Agreed, that would have been some licence for American Pinball and that would have sold loads, regardless of how good it was!

Yeah, I liked Hot Wheels when I played it.

Personally, I think they should have got a licensed game this time.
It’s all good saying you like it but that doesn’t sell games if you want to stay in business then you have to make games that people like and will actually buy it nib
I wouldn’t think any of there titles have actually gone up in value like many other games and I also they need to think about pricing if it goes up like a stern or jjp game then they have no chance

No, I read that they lost this to another company, probably Stern.
Correct AP spent so much time talking about Ryan and his Sonic homebrew instead of locking it in before hiring him that someone else went out and grabbed the licence from under them.

Sorry, just to be clear, I don’t own the American Pinball company and I don’t make the decisions on their games.

All I can say is I played Hot Wheels and I liked it and would consider having one. I was very close buying one NIB, but went for Stranger Things instead, but it was a close choice for me. Looking at resell value, yes, I probably made the right call, but I still like Hot Wheels as a game.

That is my point about getting licenced titles, as these sell more and hold their value better. Look at Black Knight, probably the cheapest LCD Stern and that is because people want licenced games, regardless of how they play. Is Black Knight the worst LCD game? Probably not.

I was really disappointed, as I can see Stern using the film assets (which I enjoyed), but I really wanted the Mega Drive Sonic.

If Hot Wheels had some crazy ramps and a loop de loop shot, oh and a jump ramp - you know all the things you think of when you think of Hot Wheels (I’m looking at my sons Hot Wheels tracks right now, jumps, loops and crazy tracks seem to be a mandate) yet AP missed the mark.

Yeah, the loop de loop was a must, surely! I am pretty sure I read they were thinking about selling a loop mod that you could add.

You need to change your signature to “thank god it’s gone”😂
Never played it but always thought it didn’t look too bad, good to know.

I think it punishes bad players (I am in that category!) as the shots are so tight. But the artwork and light show is really good. I wouldn’t have one though.

Again, it’s all subjective!

It a bit rough describing Houdini as a Turd.

I can honestly say I’ve got far more enjoyment from turds than I ever did from that game.

Seriously it was worse than Munsters.
It would be interesting to explain why you don't like this pin in a little more detail?
Houdini is packed with many features, probably too many from which it suffers code wise

I've only played the one at the pin office and find it slow and floaty so much that I feel sleepy when I play it 😄 I dunno if that's just how it's set up there.

May well be the way that game at TPO is set up. Don't consider mine to be floaty. Certainly not a game that flows like a lot of modern games

Yep David Fix said it during a podcast, feels like it was years ago but he definitely said something about physical mods for the games.

But then again Fix has spoken about ALOT of stuff (developing homebrews, opening a homebrew comp that seems to have gone nowhere, licensed games, non licensed games, after market parts for their games etc etc) yet he/AP have done very little.

I've flipped it (beginning of last year without software) and I found it enjoyable with a great sense of humour.

I have raw footage of the video that's been recorded and will share when I have permission.

I'm very excited about it and expect it to move AP up a giant step.

Very rminiscent of Bally/Williams games.

I've also been privileged to see the game after that, which will generated further excitement in AP.
