AFMR announced

I would have thought you could still get a good AFM for 4k. I'm guessing the remake will be the same price as MMr so double the price (+ more for the colour software).

Anyone got any idea of how many MMrs were sold. Initial run of 1000 then maybe the same again? That's a cool £16m taken out of people's pinball funds at today's prices:eek:. (Even at the original price point it was £13m). Guess there is some money to be made in manufacturing still.

I wonder what the minimum threshold for viability is. 800? If MMr was originally only meant to be a 1000 run then maybe breakeven is 500 or so.

Maybe a year or so ago but I know of 3 AFM's that sold last year over 6k.

Supply of all decent games at the moment is pretty rubbish so people paying over the top prices for most titles it seems unfortunately.

AFMR LE could be as high as £9000 but all depends if Rick prices aggressively or not.

They sold well north of 1000 MMRs

Interesting that rumours from those who have seen AFMR seem to suggest some sort of upgraded mothership so AFMR will not be a copy of the original.

Maybe like the prototype or something completely new.

its not a copy, its a look a likey pin using totally different components from stern, glad that they will change some bits

and this is not a proper space invaders machine :D:D:D:D

I like the lambo, the government say`s you can use your pension pot to buy one of these, the way things are going, this would be the version you will get when you retire:tut:

No way AFM is worth £6k used

I struggled to sell mine for £3750. £4-4.5k is about right imo

A lot has changed unfortunately in the last year and it seems all games are priced sky high. A standard pro is now 6k and MMR LE is around 9k.

I still think of TAF as a £2.5k game but it isn't anymore!

Pinball machines are worth what people will pay for them. If two people suddenly buy a couple of 6K AFM's it doesn't mean that other potential buyers are willing to go that high. The buyer numbers get real small over 4K.

I'm still in between anger and bargaining. LMAO.

Agreed but it works both ways though.

One thing that is true - pinball has many more folks interested, just look at the noob
forum and there are a very limited number of machines in the U.K. and a $£€ ratio that sucks for importing (for the most part but further east in Europe maybe not) - it's sadly means prices heading one way - and then you have some folks who paid super low prices suddenly find themselves with an asset worth YYYUGE money and more willing buyers, I suspect a few might cash in too.
