that has got to be shoddy workmanship/manufacturing fault etc.

surely it would have to be played quite literally hours a day non stop since it had been released to have worn that much?

i would have though electronics would start to go before playfield wear that bad was found?

''''they don't make 'em like they used to...lol

Stern are well known for putting wafer thin clearcoat on their machines. Still scandalous that a £4500 machine can look like that after a few months!

I just had a new pf fitted on my WH20, genuine Williams hologram on it, diamond plate ????, it is ****e beyond words, I managed to go right through to the wood while fitting the apron (apron corner dug in, gutted as fook as you can imagine) the surface looks like a sticker covered in a thin layer of mylar (similar to what I use on my bookcase decals) what on earth is going on, these retail at £700+, there is no way you could do that on an original clear coated playfield (clear coat came off like a piece of cling film??), after all that work and at the final stage disaster , makes me wonder how it will fair up with a bit of play

Any chance you can get your money back. They are not exactly cheap are they?!

l was toying with tne idea of getting one of those but i dont think i'll bother.

Got it off a contact so no go, I will touch it in and it will look OK but it defeats the object slightly of a pf swap, fortunately it is under the left ramp on the outlane so out of sight & slow ball traffic but you know it's there, still in shock that this could happen so that Stern AC/DC playfield does not surprise me, sorry to sound like an old fart but "they don't make things like they used to"
