Which WPC era games have the most depth pls ?

I do not know what a fair definition of depth is, but to me, games like Fish Tales, HS2 are a bit shallow. Though I still like them for what they are

To me, games like TZ and Addams offer greater depth

Thanks

I guess it can be measured in number of features, frequency they occur or difficulty in reaching the 'Wizard modes'.

I thought TS was a great game, but actually quite shallow. The longevity came from the scoring strategies and the difficulty of reaching and beating The Final Battle.

STTNG is quite deep if you can blank out the music.

For me AFM has the perfect ruleset.

Total beginners get a high from destroying the first space ship.

Intermediate players just get way deeper into the game.

Experts ( not me  ) get to rule the universe.

I understand MM is similar but ruleset is deeper so takes longer to complete wizard mode.

Indeed, AFAIK Popeye is the deepest. Though I have little detailed knowledge of TZ or its home ROM, I'm led to believe it's significantly shallower than Popeye.

Looking at the widebody pins they all have some depth towards a wizard, TZ, IJ, JD, all have 12 or so modes to complete, STTNG 7, DM 5, Popeye don't bother counting you'll never complete it! And RS is loaded too with maybe 18 modes! They all have other stuff going on too which adds yet more depth so for me the widebody pins are the way forward.....if, like me, you want to spend your life eternally frustrated at never completing them due to the handicap of being sh1t at pinball! Best keep FT for perspective!

Indy 500 has a depth not often seen in WPC era games. The add-a-ball multiball is IMO the best multiball of the era.
