I'm out of the running then... :/

Duracell batteries are terrible for leaking. Fortunately I have never used them in my pinball machines, but have had them wreck several Wii controllers and remote controls. All miles within date. 🤬
I will only use Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries in the pinball machines.

I’ve had Duracell’s kill remotes and controllers within date too.

I switched to Lithiums a few years back for anything of value including pins and arcade a machines. They cost a bit more but the alternative doesn’t bare thinking about.

There are so many copies of Duracell batteries out there, I use Duracell batteries in industrial machines for work, replace them annually and never had a a problem. Very interesting if you buy them from less reputable suppliers, when the new battery weighs a fraction of the weight of an original battery, or, the colours of the wrap are totally different, but the best one (I haven’t experienced personally but have heard of) peel the wrap of to find the battery below is a wing pong poo battery! Also had batteries totally dead on arrival!

My advice for all batteries (and other parts) is to use a reputable supplier, where the battery IS what it’s supposed to be. That said, I’ve got lithium batteries in all my pins.

Chris.

Mine were genuine Duracell as they have paid out three times for the damage they caused to my equipment. They make it very difficult to contact them, but if you know how you can claim for the damage if the batteries are in date.

Duracell are a fine example of a successful marketing campaign. Distinctly average product elevated by marketing.
Dyson products are the same.

Energizer Ultimate Lithium +1. That's what I use now, I can't think who recommended them. Might have been here.

My Durexcell's were pukka too. Theys crapolla.

Interesting about your WIng-Pong-Poos Taz! :0

I tried claiming for Duracell and was just told to clean my Wavebird controllers with vinegar.

I’d done that already and gave up after they stopped responding.
