Holy crap this is amazing news, someone at WMS has clearly been keeping tabs on what Stern has been up to and the dollar signs have been rolling past their eyes.

They are mainly aiming for the collectors market but will be doing Pro versions for onsite use.

The initial run of machines will be of original themes, working names for these will be Monster Bash 2, a completely re-imagined Taxi and a machine based off a golf theme (maybe NGG2?).

I imagine they will be comparatively priced to Sterns offerings, lets hope the build quality will still be there.

Exciting times ahead for all of us :D

Yeah I saw that as well they thought that if any Tom, Dick or Harry (apologies if anybody on here goes by that name) can fetch out pinball machines then why not do re-makes of their own plus some new ones as well.

Heard that they are doing a Chevy Chase Vacation themed one which is going to be a cross between Baywatch/Corvette and called BenDover. Also going to be a Spoof2 and a fantasy/dragon/medieval one called I Can't Believe It. Also rumored as well FishyTales2.

Wow exciting times for pinheads can see loads of machines going up for sale.

I'm most looking forward to the modern day remake of Champion Pub, which is going to be called Champion Chav

Anyone check the date of the announcement?:D

This would be epic news, except its April 1st and i think someone is pulling your plonkers!

If only it were true.
The things that dreams are made of.
Just think the kind of pinball machine WMS would be making now, a darn sight better than anything else that on offer.
I'll keep on with the dream then, and don't wake me up this time.

I don't know, I can only imagine that if WMS continued building pinball, then they would have gone the way of Stern and cut the costs on everything to the last penny.

It's good that we have a few newcomers to pinball now, as they have to make a conscious effort to be better than Stern's

Think everybody realised that you were pulling our plonkers Carl apart from one Well-Known Member who was probably having a poo and skimming at the time (his words in another post lol)

Yes I have been following this and things can't get much better.
To eventually make the game how it was supposed to be without any cut backs is great enough but to add even more.
Keeping up with the thread on Pinside and rubbing my hands at the same time.
Happy Days
