I am looking to sell to a friend but still wanted fair market price.

What is an Ironman going for now? I noticed Monopoly recently selling for 3k which has got me thinking.

Thanks

Market rate or actual value?

Market rate £5K - especially when cooks are listing space invaders at £3500.

Proper actual value - for a top quality non-vault £3500

3k is what mine went for over a year ago. It was a nice one with a few extras.
IM is a cracking pin and if you could get it for anywhere near that now it’s a no brainer.
But! Sadly I dare not even guess run of the mill classic pin prices now as they encroaching into Spike 2 pro territory which is IMO is utter madness.

At 3k bet you have had loads of message saying "if the deal falls through I'll take it" :D

Pre covid/lockdown remember IM being 3.2/3.5K so surely IM hasn't deflated?

Monopoly pre lockdown 1.8/2k now 3k

Increase on Monopoly 1/1.2K so add that increase to IM and you get around 4.5k or more 😬

Not saying that is what it should be but it appears that a lot of pins have increased in price by 1/1.5k 😭

One crazy person paying 3k for a monopoly doesn’t mean this is what they are worth. Unless that buyer finds another sucker who doesn’t have a clue they will take a loss to sell it on here. Iron man is a 3.5k in nice condition

imo monopoly is still a 2k ish game. 2.5k would be a super nice one and you’d still really need to love the theme

The real bottom end dmd stuff has definitely had a bump in price over the last year although not to the level some of the chancers on eBay are claiming. This doesn’t mean that better games in the tiers above have gone up the same %

I sold a really nice one for £1,500.
That was Jan.2019 though.......

It’s only a matter of time before the posts appear on here of people complaining ‘there are no reasonably priced lower end pins any more’ and ‘I’m being priced out of the market’ The fb and eBay people used to accuse us on here of keeping prices artificially low and we mocked them for trying to take advantage of peoples lack of knowledge on value. ie the 3.5k whodoneit that would sell on here for 1.5/2k
Some on here are now fully paid up members of the I’ll take a punt squeezing every last penny out of it when selling something low end but then expect to find something like a deadpool for 5k.
Also selling to dealers reduces the pool of pins in this community as they will generally be sold on to someone not on here and never to be seen again. I am also guilty of this as it tends to be a very easy transaction with no negotiation, money in your bank same day and collected very quickly with zero hassle like ‘I wasn’t expecting that ding on the backbox or this wasn’t shown on the ad’

Basically we will all reap what we sow

Disclaimer- apologies for hijacking the thread my comment above isn’t directed at the OP it’s just a general observation that’s been bugging me

Thanks all for the comments.

I'm going to stick it up in the FS section tonight when I get in for £3600 ONO.

I've taken lots of pictures and two videos I'll upload.

Thanks again!

I am relatively new to the hobby. first pin was only 4 years ago july 2017.

I have overpaid for pins and I’ve also underpaid for pins

i’ve over paid and underpaid on here.

Same on ebay.

facebook ive only ever underpaid

Let me clarify. overpaid means i paid more for a pin in the condition i bought it, compared to the going rate at the time

underpaid means i paid less for a pin in the condition i bought it in, compared to the going rate at the time.

why did i underpay? easy who wouldn’t grab what you calculate to be a bargain

why did i overpay? This is more difficult. to start with it was ignorance, then it is desire. “i must have that”.

A question i’m now asking myself is whether ii undersold or oversold the pins ive let go.

i guess again i must have undersold and oversold, but of course i’m wrong. i’ve undersold them all. 😂😂😂😂😂
