Has anyone converted a system 7 machine to 220 from 110v?
I've read its a jumper change but only ever see the 220 to 110 reimport posts on the Internet.

I'm after a simple guide with maybe photos of a pointer finger in and around the transformer!

Do you have a molex pin removal tool ?
You will need one of those.
Main fuse needs changing, and also a varistor.

Look at the schematics in the manual - all the taps are listed and the value of fuses/varistor.

Install a brand new flex (3 core)
In the USA they use BLACK for LIVE (our Brown), and WHITE for NEUTRAL (our BLUE). Green and yellow is of course ground.

I have access to one yes.

Yep the existing varistor will pop so plan to replace that and I have a 3 core supply cable ready with an in line socket so if i take the head off I can store the cable too safely.
The manual has the details and what I need to move but always handy to have a wingman.

It mentions a low line condition of 210v and a high line condition of 240v?

Maybe post the schematic. It will be much easier for someone to point out what you need to put where.

As mentioned make sure you replace the main fuse with one of the correct (lower) rating for UK voltage.

I did this change to a System 7 a while ago, when I did I also changed the line input filter which seemed sensible as it’s a 40 year old part which can and does fail.
