Williams Contact !

Brilliant. Certainly never heard of it before. Love the moving target and it's a wide body

Contact was one of the three choices at the operator where I bought my first game. Though I don't remember it having a wooden front moulding.

Note the 'Dual Action Flippers', which remained the norm for 4-flipper Williams games into the Fliptronic era. On a game like this, though, you'd need nerves of steel to trap the ball on an inner flipper.

That is a cool looking game.

I was surprised to see the up/down center post as before seeing this I thought system 11 games for the first to have one of those :rofl:

Re. the 'Play-More' post;

My Bally e/m Time Zone (1973) had one, and I think it had been around for a while even then.

What was new about it on System 11 games was only needing one solenoid to raise and lower the post. This was achieved by scaling up the wire & track latching arrangement used on the 'Manual/Auto' diagnostic switch inside the coin door of later Williams solid-state games. This 'Flatcam' device was also adapted for the opening 'Fault' on Earthshaker and the ramp diverter on Police Force.
