Wicksteed Park

Shame. It’s going to happen to an awful lot of businesses.
Birmingham Hippodrome are on the brink of closing.
Even if social distancing reduces to 1 metre it’s still going to be so hard for certain things to survive.
Live music, theatre, cinema, pubs, clubs, amusement parks. Seems to be all the things we love to do in our spare time.

Government needs to do something more long term to help leisure / hospitality sector . they have it worse than rest of us and no one wants everything converted to resi
 
If l recall the venue got greedy so the pinball show had to move on. Same thing happened with Villa Park .
 
Living in Kettering I worked there for a year as a summer job and have fond memories of the place. Shame to hear this.

Used to spend many a lunchtime there during my college years. Sad times. It always still seemed pretty popular when I drive past
 
As a coach Driver in Bedford, I've done many a day trip there. Cheap day out for local schools.

They're running a justgiving campaign to try to raise funds to keep them afloat - have raised over £100k so far
