I have just agreed to restore a classic 1966 Gottlieb World Fair. It all arrived well packed on Friday. I carefully opened it and GROAN! Some "Clown" had done the following to what was a great game...
1) Fitted a 2 pin 3amp shaver plug to the unearthed mains lead with a 3 amp connector block and twin bell wire to the mains transformer. 2) Fitted 35amp vehicle fuses everywhere 3) For some unknown reason completely removed the 4 relay bank and replaced it with five 24 volt plug in relays. One being the lock coil that operates on 120 volt and is always on. No notes or schematics as to what, where, why. 4) Removed the flipper levers that actuated the flippers and replaced them with Bell wire and standards leaf switches. Oh yes, this "Clown" had also used solid core bell wire to wire up a 5 amp vehicle Toggle switch as an on/off switch for the entire machine with the exposed terminals easy to touch (groan)
The really sad thing is that the machine has a great original Backglass and perfect playfield and plastics (although the static bumpers are from a Tropic Isle) and someone has tried to fill in the missing artwork with a blue felt tip pen! Some people should not be allowed out unless with an adult! Anyone else got a horror story like this![SAM_6589.JPG SAM_6589.JPG](https://www.pinballinfo.com/community/data/attachments/223/223855-17c1f34d8ce7fd93f0a5a883633fea6c.jpg?hash=F8HzTYzn_Z)
