I have a couple of 70s EM machines already and I want something different for my next.

The shopping list is...
Newer but not brand new so maybe 90s
Second play area with additional flippers
Rails, gates etc
Multiball

Think that's it, what should I be aiming for that is not too pricey and that I would find available fairly easily. Thanks for any advice :)

Now Black Knight 2000 is the kind of machine!

Any others similar? (Not so keen on the other two)

Something nice from the system 11 era?

Why no go left field and buy a swords of fury.

LIONMAN!!!!!!!

Thanks for all the ideas :)

We like the Black Knight 2000 best followed by Taxi. Will be keeping an eye here and ebay for any machines that come up :D

I can't help but think you are asking the wrong question as it is what YOU want - One mans turd is anothers gem.
Black Hole IMO is one of the best 80's games out there period-very challenging/rewarding multiball, nice lower playfield-good widebody.I recommend you play a lot on visual pinball or one of the other simulators out there as they at least give you an idea of the rules and how to play. Then of course trying out in real life. There will be many many dozens of pins at the northern Lights Show in Manchester in April,so go there and play to your hearts content. There will almost certainly be some for sale there too.
You also need to think about price-tho from what you are mentioning I am guessing £700 or so and am alpha numeric or sooner?Dont see that many Taxis come up.
Best of luck with the search

It's more what the wife & Father in law want ;) I like the old EMs but am willing to add a newer machine that they like to the collection.

Didn't know about the simulators so will check them out, research so far has been you tube videos. Manchester is too far I'm afraid, I nearly made it to Daventry but was busy as near wedding time. £700 would be ideal, yes. Could go some more for the right machine.

Free stuff like visual pinball and future pinball.Get a free login at vpforums.org

Then there is ones you can buy like http://www.pinballarcade.com/

Re pin vids - LOADS here http://pinball.org/videos/
Partly cos of that site I got TX sector

I realise MAnchester may be ajourney-but it could also be a shopping trip too for the family at the trafford Centre next door.
Plus, far better than to play the 70/80/100 games there than to but a pin for £7000 and go "wish I had played it for real first don't like it"
If you make a weekend of it and bring one of your EM's to be played you will get free tickets so wont have to pay to get in
