Where's the best place to get plastic sets?

At the moment I'm after a plastic set for Stern Playboy... I seem to have bought the worst example of this game on the planet... took a chance, no photo's available... at least the playfield isn't worn out, but it needs a plastic set...

I can find them in the US (Marco has them), but I'm looking for a supplier this side of the pond due to crazy import tax! There must be a European supplier of parts somewhere...

cpr. still pay a bit of import vat but usually cpr who are in canada manage somehow to get stuff through to uk with little or sometimes no import vat. (i’ve been lucky on last two orders)

you will pay vat even if you buy it now from european suppliers.

You mean if you live in the UK you pay vat on good from Europe? I live in Czech you see, so am ideally looking for a supplier in Europe... to be honest, despite the vat being a pain due to the cost adder, to me, the paperwork side is a kind of nightmare, partly because all the customs forms are in Czech, which I don't speak... this is the main thing I'd like to avoid...

aha sorry. assumed you were in uk. you have plenty of choice from the european suppliers then, depends who has in stock. bestofpinball, pinball centre, pinballshop.nl

By the way, those CPR orders you mentioned where they came through without issues, what sort of values were they?? Were they above whatever threshold there is that should attract import duty? I know that for me to get stuff from the US, the declared value has to be below about $25... not sure if Canada is different...

I had two playfields come through with no vat at all. Saved me a fortune.
