Where is the best place to get mods outside the US? The import tax and associated paperwork I end up having to fill in kills the deal on most mods coming from the US... Does anyone make good mods over here? Or is there an importer of mods that sell them over here?

It would help to specify which game and/or type of mod you're looking for as there is a large wealth of knowledge on this site and people do sometimes sell items they are holding and haven't used. In general you can't really avoid import costs and they just get passed thru. Obviously group buys are a way to spread the shipping costs. IMHO there is not a single 'best place' for pin parts/mods although obviously some places have a broader range of stock than others. In my experience you tend to build up a range of sources but you'll almost inevitably find that many are outside the UK. Your question implies you've possibly not done some obvious online searching yet. So you may, for example, want to start with the Judge Dreads sticky thread under parts for sale on this site.

What I have in mind at the moment is a flipper coil cooling mod suitable for Stranger Things and a model of Jim Hooper's car with head-lights that light up for the same game. My first port of call for on-line searching started with this post. I'll check that sticky thread, thanks!

I don't mind buying imported mods even though I know the import tax would be imposed anyway... the problem for me is the paperwork and hoops I have to jump through to get them... I live in the Czech Republic and don't speak Czech, and all the forms are in Czech... removing that aspect from getting them is a chunk of the problem removed... of course, when Brexit kicks in, the problem will be there when importing from the UK also... to avoid that I'll then need to find suppliers in Europe...

You might want to check out the Welcome to Hawkins - Stranger Things thread on this General Discussion Forum as you'll see discussion on mods etc for this PIN.

Thanks for that, will check 'em out!

While I'm in the modding frame of mind, I'm also planning to pimp an AFM, which is currently stock... lighting mods, alien mods, saucer mods, topper and the odd cow... not so keen on a colour DMD though... any tips on the best place to go for a full AFM pimp kit?

Hangin' on in there fellah! Games room still isn't finished, but getting there!! How's tricks with you?

All good :D You know as soon as you do finish the games room that you'll move again! Marketa and kids all good?

Near 200... Where's that bloomin' laughing emoticon when you need it!!

We're all doing as good as can be expected under the circumstances!

Hopefully I'll not be moving again when this one is finished, but I do miss old blighty, so you never know!

Due to the impending full impact of Brexit meaning that exports from the UK to Europe after Jan 1st next year will be subject to import tax for those living in Europe, like myself, then I'd need to find a supplier within Europe... anyone know of a good supplier of mods in Europe therefore?
